  • Not for me, for my granny, she will love it, I'm sure she will share it with her nurses while they will change her diapers.

  • Not much of a gardner so I can't help ya...

Because you were talking about them yellow courgettes...

    Gold Rush F1 Hybrid =

  • Are you green fingered? If so, go for it... That's what I meant...

  • Meh, seems they take too much time to grow. Moving abroad in the summer so I'll do with green courgettes then.

    Next question:
My hand blender gave up and I'm looking for something of good quality but as cheap as possible since I don't have much to spend.. Not looking for (online)shops, but just some indication on which brands do a good hand blender. Any recommendations here?

  • Courgettes are very, very easy to grow.

  • I swear by my Bamix, I'm on my second... Ex-wife kept the last one... It'll last you forever...

  • I got this Braun, well the version they made 9 yrs ago and it's still going strong, and all the accessories too...

  • I've had a basic Braun one for 15 years or something.

I pretty much only buy German branded kitchen electricals cos they just seem to go forever even if price initially a bit more.

  • ^^Thats the thing; mines a much older version of that Multiquick with a steel 'stick' bit. edit seems to be the Professional model

  • KitchenAid

  • 400Quid

  • I'm ashamed to say I bought the Gordon Ramsay Bamix, but that was the only black one available... It was cheaper than the regular model anyway, which was a bonus... Well worth the extra spend...

  • We've got the same Braun - been going strong for 8 years as well.

  • Alternatively Robert Dyas, Argos etc usually have a handheld stick blender for about £10, had mine years, problem?

  • I went through a coupla cheap ones before I got this one, I always burn out the motors on the cheapies... We love our soups and hummus in this house, ours gets used all the time...

  • Thanks guys!
I'll just go with a (couple of) cheap 10quid one for the time being as I simply cant afford something better atm being a poor student who spends all his leftover cash in bikes. However I'm sure I will justify spending 200+ on a proper machine when the time comes.

  • Anyone have a cheap place to buy a Kitchen Aid??

  • What is it exactly that you're after, K45 mixer?

  • What is it exactly that you're after, K45 mixer?

    Yep, K45 stand mixer...

  • Courgette flowers in tempura batter. Then fried...amazing.

  • Just walked into a friend in the supermarket who happened to have a hand mixer which I could borrow. So as my LTS was already closed I bought some regular dark green courgette and will make some soup with that, accompanied by a simple fennel salad prepared with nice Spanish olive oil.

    Sorry, I mean....

Courgette Flowers stuffed with Home made Gochujang marinated tofu, a sous-vide egg, smothered in kimchi emulsion, in a 17 hour applewood smoked brioche bun.... FUHHCK.
