Yea, so that's my concern as well. I'm guessing he thinks of welding them on the inside but I don't know cause like I said I asked him about it but he hasn't gone into detail much. Not an expert either, but if there's nothing wrong with it then sure but otherwise I'll pass on the idea. I can always do a normal seat tube. But I think it looks nice. I know my saddle height, give or take half a centimeter so there would not be much seatpost showing anyway if done right, like that Kissena.

First project that I'm posting here, should be fun! Thought I'd start a thread to get some input and ideas from you guys. Also have another project thread in the works for my sweet 1970's Viner pista, have almost all the right parts I wanted except for some 36H Nisi Pista rims, but that's for another time.
I have been wanting to buy a new track frame for months now but had a lot of trouble finding something that I liked. Which all had to do with my size by the way, not necessarily the frames out there. I'm about 1,93 meters tall with an inseam of around 91cm. Yea, long legs but not very long arms or torso. I also wanted something with a more or less horizontal top tube. Nothing lo pro style that a lot of brands seem to make lately. But a lot of brands that I liked only go up to around 58, with the exception of maybe only the Super Pista. Wasn't doing it for me.
So I've decided to go custom. Emailed around to some of the builders that I liked but didn't really get anywhere, mostly cause of the prices they quoted me (highest one was 1900). Then I emailed Rychtarski cause I heard only or mostly great things about them. We exchanged some emails about the general idea and it all seems to be fine. They also quoted me a price I'm happy with so I already filled in their forms and am about to email it back and get the build going. They say lead time is around 6 weeks which is cool.
The general idea for the build is an aluminium Columbus Airplane frame with an aero seat tube. They made one before that I really liked, except I'm going for a tapered Columbus Pista Leggera fork on mine.
Also taking a bit of inspiration from the Affinity Kissena which I think is a good looking frame.
This is the geo that I have been working on, but I've yet to hear in-depth feedback on it because I've yet to send in my personal form with my measurements to Rychtarski:
One issue with the aero seat tube according to Rychtarski is that Columbus only made those tubes in 670mm lengths. And because my idea requires a longer seat tube, he would have to join two tubes together. I already asked him if that will work and also if it won't be bad for the structural strength of the frame or the butting in the tubes but he has yet to go into more detail about it. What do you guys think? This is why I'm making this thread as well, I need some more input on if thats going to be a good idea or not.
My current plan for the wheelset is to order some Chinese carbon 50mm or 60mm clinchers from Farsports (no brake track, matte carbon) and lace them to a nice pair of hubs. DT Swiss, Dura Ace or maybe some Mack ones. Bladed spokes. Chainset is going be black Omniums. Rest of the parts I think will be mostly aluminium 3T for now (Arx II Pro stem, Stilo 25 Pro seatpost, compact handlebars) or whatever nice second-hand parts I can find. Still not sure whether I should go with 27.2 or 31.6 seatpost. I'm thinking just 27.2?
I'm also still weighing all the paint options. I want something understated and stealthy but still somewhat unique. I was thinking some really dark blue metallic paint but then I saw this color on a Jam frame that I really like. They call it Cosmic Grey. I think it's a metallic grey/silver with a satin/matte clear on top.

I think it will look pretty good with the Rychtarski outline logo's in black on the downtube and seat tube. I think it would also look cool to have the insides of the front and rear fork painted black as well.
What do you guys think?

Up for sale is a rear track wheel. Zeus (Gigante Pista) hub and Steiger rim. Obviously used and enough marks to show it but still in pretty good shape. Old glue still there. I haven't used it, I've had it for almost a year now and has been sitting here so was thinking it would be better off in the hands of a Zeus owner or something. I've regreased it when I got it and tuned the cones, and it runs smooth.
Came with a Wolber Classic 290 tubular tyre when I got it that was for some reason really minimally glued on and I was able to just pull it off without any effort. It's a bit dry and dirty but still holds air fine. Will throw that in for free if you think it will be of any use for you for whatever reason.
Located in the Netherlands. Don't know how much shipping will be for a wheel but wanted to know if anyone was interested first before I go find that out.
Would like 50 euro for it.

Hey everyone
For my current Italian steel track project I'm looking for any of the following (admittedly kind of specific) components. Not really looking for parts that are too worn or damaged but you can always shoot me a DM anyway :)
- Cinelli 2A (depending on the price), or a 1A. 90-100mm. Milano logo.
- Cinelli Criterium bars, older type with crest logos, 42cm center-to-center or one size bigger. I'm searching for one with the clamp area in great condition with the logo's intact.
- Alternatively, I might be interested in 3TTT Gimondi Superleggero bars if someone wants to let go of a matching 3TTT (pista) stem.
- Nisi rims, 36H, 1970's, silver, track versions maybe? NOS with original stickers would be awesome if the price is right.
- Alternatively, Fiamme Red labels could do too.
- Also need a Campagnolo Record Pista bottom bracket, 109mm.
- Lastly, anyone got some dark blue Benotto Cello bar tape?
Before I forget to mention, it will have to be posted to mainland Europe!
Thanks!

Anyone here have a set of clips that they want to let go of?
Looking for the NR clips in size Large, the ones with the Campagnolo shield logo. Specifically the steel ones. I live in the Netherlands.
