Any one know about Carpenter frames, think it is pre-war 39/45, it has a Chater- Lea bottom bracket and a serial number of 3948 on the frame underneath,I raced on the track at Leicester until 1988 and time trials on calm days on this bike, it has sat in my shed buried until now,Is it worth anything of value as I cannot find much info on this frame and I dont use auction sites so useful info would be most helpfull.
I have a 54cm Hirame framed bike in the mustard gold colour with chrome rear stays and chrome front forks.
I think the frame is the Kyoto super with Ishiwata 022 tubes, it was used in Majorca by a cycle shop owner who had it there, it's been used in the UK very little, it rides brilliant, does anyone know about these as I am possibly selling it to make way for a titanium bike.
