Exactly one year ago I got three bikes stolen from my basement.
First one is a Cougar TT bike, found on ebay via LFGSS, someone might remember it
https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/322427/
Built Mavic Mektronic and Dura Ace 9sp, with Look Ergostem and Mavic bullhorns
Here more pictures and all the details
https://www.pedalroom.com/bike/cougar-time-trial-stolen-38583Second one is a Scapin Eos7 from 2002 with its original Wound Up fork, Ultegra 11sp built, with lots of FRM parts (headset, topcap, stem, seatpost) and handbuilt wheels with PMP carbon hubs

These pictures are a bit old, as I then added the FRM headset, Absolute Black oval chainrings and Deda Superleggera carbon barsThird one is a Cannondale Caad12 in pearl white and black paintjob (pretty rare as this paintjob was only available on bare framesets), Ultegra R8050 Di2 built with Ciamillo Zero G20 SL brakes but incomplete as it had crankset and chain missing (last pictured in the link below)

Many thanks -

@Kalkhoff thanks man! So happy for it, that's exactly what I was looking for!

So, it all began last year, when I found a 2nd gen """UCI legal""" Mavic Mektronic prototype groupset for tt bikes for sale in Belgium. Well, nothing special at the end, the only difference that made this monstruous groupset legal was the shifter loss at the brake levers top end, as they were simply cut off. You wouldn't be able to use them on bullhorns on a tt bike anyway, the ones on the levers were enough.
In that period I was studying those great British cycling legends in the 90s, mainly Obree and Boardman. Saw Boardman riding many Cougar tt bikes, the story behind the Cougar brand passionated me, so I decided I had to get one. And I got it! Found very nice frame on ebay two weeks ago, the seller was kind to ship it abroad.
Now, I wanna build it with lots of rare and crazy components straight outta the 90s
The cockpit will be a Mavic tt bars and extensions combo with a 1' Look Ergostem and a fully cnc machined Timec Record headset on roller bearings.
The groupset will be half Mavic Mektronic, half Shimano Dura Ace (cranks, front der, brakes) with some Sg 54-42 or 55-44 9sp chainrings (actually looking for them, give me a yell if you have some layin around), a Marchisio extralight 11-25 9sp cassette with fully machined titanium cogs, all kept together by a gold Kmc x9SL bling bling chain.
Seatpost is a HQ Fibre Blade, topped by a Flite TT saddle.Now. What wheels? Got for Christmas a couple of super heavy but rad af Alpina Flash trispokes, but I found out later they were some mm out of true. Well, not much.. but can you true some trispokes? Nope. So I was thinking to get a Mavic Cosmic Carbone wheelset (the 1 generation)
I haven't got many pictures, as I'm away for work. Will post all the pictures as I'll come back home again :D

Nice one @Kalkhoff, this one looks great! But damn me, I forgot to mention the frameset must have a straight steel fork (like the ones pictured as examples)
But please, send me some pics and the size of your rig, I'll might be interested if anything turns out.. :) -
Hi everyone! I'm after a Cougar TT frameset from the 90s
Must have:- steel frame and fork
- 54cm and 0° top tube
- both wheels the same size, preferably 700/700 (but I can also think about some 650/650)
- 1' threaded steerer
- 130mm rear wheel spacing with vertical dropouts
- 27,2 seatpost insert
- nice paintjob (and no rust or dents)
Let's see what's hangin around in your garage, feel free to pm me with pics, specs, sizes and prices, I will let you know what I think
Oh btw, please give me a yell if you have some spare DA7700 54/55t SG chainring and HQ Fibre fork and aero seatpost, cheers!
