Hi
Could somebody please help a noobie out. I'm after a nice cheap 80's Peugeot frame that I will be getting professionally painted so exterior condition doesn't matter. I would love to start my first bike project on an 80's frame and renovate to original condition and then get nice new modern wheels etc
Thanks in advance for any help.
P.s anyone done anything like this and fancy giving tips/pointers appreciated also

Hi Rikki thanks for the fast reply. I am a mechanic by trade but never worked on bikes so wouldn't mind a nice little project. I would like to spend around £200 on something just to get going with the possibility of upgrading parts as and when. I would say I'm a small/medium sized guy. I'll take a look on the Facebook group you mentioned. I'm actually living in Great Yarmouth (sorry). Been keeping an eye on eBay/gumtree for a nice Peugeot but really don't know if I'm getting ripped off or not. I will check out the stores you mentioned and keep my eye on the classified section of the Norwich page.
Thanks for your help -

Would somebody please be able to steer me in the right direction?
I'm after a nice Peugeot classic racer or something of the sort as a nice starter-upper bike but don't want to get ripped off or end up with something that's far too good for what I need it for.
Any help or direction appreciatedlines starting with a 'greater than' denote quoted text
I have Rikki thanks yeah. I don't know how to copy a paste a discussion but I should have this turn up at my door next Monday. Looking forward to my first race bike
