I didn't mean it as an insult. Maybe I should have said a smaller less controversial bike shop...
But honestly some of their weekend staff were on a par with BLB in flagrant rudeness/inattention.
Long-term team and owner were always excellent. Hence why I used them for these wheels and many other things.

All pick-up from Bermondsey (Home) or Aldgate (Work).
Posting the wheel will be a pain and I would rather not, other components at cost of postage.
Rear Wheel - 140 SOLD
Phil Wood Low Flange 32 Hole Double Fixed
Laced 2 Cross to
H+ Son SL42 42mm deep
with well used 25c Gatorskin Hard Shell
with inner tube (you're welcome)Very new build by King Kog in Brooklyn (a sorta BLB type equivalent in NYC).
Rest of bike was stolen 2 weeks after build hence the sale.Rim has anodized braking surface (never seen a brake). Rim was new for the build.
Tyre is pretty squared off but could be ridden for a little while longer, removing the tyre will not change the price.
Hub has seen a good few miles and was not new with the build. It is Phil Wood though so still butter smooth and has sealed cartridge bearings that can be replaced if required in the future.
Wheel is true with good tension but would recommend taking into bike shop for a quick check of spoke tension after a few weeks riding. This is standard procedure for any any new wheel build (testament to how new this build is).
17t Cog 5 gbp SOLD
Steel. Good quality CNC'd cog but seen some miles, wouldn't want to use with brand new chain. Better to use with ridden-in set-up. Threads are good.
15t Cog 5 gbp
Steel. Basic track cog only ridden on occasional track day, have ridden with brand new chain and works great. Threads good.Phil Lock Ring 10 gbp
Steel. Good threads. Seen some use and is pitted from removal etc. Still vey high-quality lock-ring.More photos:

Thanks @6pt and @T-V not sure I am in the same shape as I was when I left. NYC took its weighty, fatty, boozy toll.
Also recent bike theft has left me fixed-less and my only other bike right now is a Merckx Corsa Extra upon which the rear wheel slips if I put too much power down - fine for long rides terrible in the city and in the park.
I am in the process of obtaining a new fixed park racer (see here) but it will be a little bit until it is all together. Glad to know there is something of a crew still getting together.
Might join the Thursday night rides as well.

For those of who ever rode with me in my forum hay-day (2011 mainly) you will know I rode a dark green lee cooper with pursuit bars (see attached). I moved to NYC and spent 4 years bashing it around that city instead. The very night before I was due to ship it with the rest of my stuff back to the UK (where I now live again) it was stolen from my locked garage. Now I am fixed-less. The silver lining here is insurance money and therefore a new project.
I have ridden steel for a long time and feel it is time for a change. So here is what I am thinking... may the critique begin.
F+F: Look AL 464
Wheels: Silver Low Flange Phil Wood laced to DT Swiss 511 (DB version on rear)
Crank: Dura Ace
Stem: Zipp Sprint
Bar: Profile Pro Svet V (w/ interchangeable track bar)
Seat Post: Fizik Carbon Jobby (RL 0 or something)
Saddle: Fizik Arione
Front Brake: Dura Ace
Lever: TRP RL970
Pedals: LookThe rest is dull or generic/don't care about opinions
Key Questions:
Will silver hubs and cranks look stupid with black stem and seatpost?
Are massive over-size sprint stems for wankers? -
KK.
Am there many days. Normally around 7am. Cinelli Vigorelli or steel geared Rossin.
Would have ridden with some of the faces on here 5 years ago ish under the name C.B.
