My set up for 4 days in Scotland this coming weekend (Inverness>Corrour via torridon) - a chance to test my first attempt at sewing a frame bag… staying in hostels each night so I’m packing light, but feels weird carrying so little! Would really like a fork with mounts for cages, but having to make do with a bottle in a stem pouch for now.

Recently picked up sewing. I’m usinf an old Singer 611G which was recently serviced (bought at auction, and hadn’t been used it 20+ years).
I am getting this tensioning issue no matter what fabric I’m sewing into, and regardless of whether I set the tension high or low (pic is Cordura, for reference). I’m beginning to wonder if this is a something I can solve by fiddling with tension, or if there’s something wrong with the machine… the other thing to add is that when I go mega slow, I don’t get the issue, but when I press the pedal at a normal pace, it happens (the take up lever jerks and doesn’t run smoothly). any tips much appreciated.

Still looking.
Not sure my budget will stretch to £300 for just a front wheel unfortunately @Noblebikes

Got to ride with Lael Wilcox in Squamish today for approx 0.02% of her around the world journey. Here she is talking me through the delicate process of unpicking the chamois from her £250 Rapha bib shorts..
After 4 months riding +250km per day, she was still so stoked to be riding! What an inspiration. On the home stretch now about to cross the border into Washington.

Picked up a second hand Secan F+F here and built it up in June in preparation for a summer spent in Squamish, BC (Canada). Have been so happy with it, but my only gripe is that it has the OG fork without rack mounts. Here’s my setup for 4 days riding some fun single track and forest service roads, with a stupid amount of climbing, carrying all our food.
Not so keen on this Apidura bag. I have a Carradice saddle bag I’ll put on when we’re back home this autumn, but was worried it’d be too bouncy.
Are there any decent thru-axel front racks out there? Might consider looking for a fork with bolts otherwise - I’ve got a Tara rack I’d like to use again.

Just set up a new Fairlight Secan with Rival disc brakes and new pads. Rotors not completely new, but very little use. When I engage my rear brake, I get a humming noise/vibration throughout the F+F. It isn't a sound from the rotor itself, but from vibrations maybe through the fork/headset? Any ideas?

Much appreciated! That’s what I was hoping the top one was. Looking forward to working it out.
They came with a Singer (and are all singer branded) - is Pfaff linked to singer in some way?
