Sorry for the delay. A 52cm is the correct size for you in that frame.
You might be looking up information on a different type of bicycle
frame to get the numbers you've found, without sounding a bit to
geeky, there is sloping and non-sloping. Non-sloping is a traditional
frame and the cross bar is horizontal with the ground and is general
4cm smaller than modern frames. So yes, you are correct if you were
getting a traditional geometry frame you would need a 58cm.

Okay thanks for the feedback, it's just that I'm 5'10" and they sent me this 52cm frame which fits me perfectly (standing feet flat on the floor there's about 2 or 3 inches between the top tube and my crotch.) But when I read about what frame height is suited for a 52cm frame many sites say it's for someone much smaller?

To help people understand the sizing of this bike, the frame is 52cm and the wheels are 67cm so this would be suitable for someone who is 5'10" or 5'11".

Is there a clearer way of stating this for bike enthusiasts to understand in the adverts?
