No, didn't bother. Even when climbing 15% roads the wheel stayed where I wanted it to be.

The thing is: I don't really trust the Klein. They break too easily. Dhould have put my money in a nice steel Fat Yo Eddy or Serotta T Max. 😏

I know. I have a couple of really nice vintage mountainbikes (Ritchey Project 20, Scott Pro Racing,...) and the fun is about riding them, not looking at them.

I´m almost regretting that I bought the Klein. It´s just too mint to ride and I really feel the urge to hammer it offroad.

That´s a very kind offer, and yes, a box section fork would be ace. But no budget left at the moment. 😱

Thanks. Yeah, Funk are great. I'm only starting to realize how lucky I was to find this one. It was on Markplaats for almost half a year but before I thought it was just some scam or with one or other hidden defect. But it looks like this bike hasn't been on the streets before. No dust where you expect to find some on a used bike. Chain, cogs, brake blocks,... everything looks like new and unused (except the seatpost and saddle).

Arrived in my stable. Smokes and some Ringlé stuff added.

In my first mountainbike club (in the early nineties) there were guys riding Klein bikes and non of the bikes survived racing. This one will go straight to my living room wall.

Seller had one for my wife too. 😅

It´s in very good condition but has one thing: first owner drilled some holes in the seatstays as he wanted to put a rear rack on it.

I know. A once in a lifetime opportunity came across my way. Never had thought I would have the chance to buy one of these without having to have won the lottery.

Built this today for a friend who wants to go touring in Italy. Basis is a 1991 Scott Boulder.

It also has cables routing on top. Ritchey's from that generation had them on the down tube (ser photo of mine). Mine is 1997 so already a later model.

It's missing things that are typically Ritchey: the seatpost cluster as said, short head tube (and it doesn't look like it's 1" either).

My Breezer has Ritchey dropouts too, that's no proof.
