Tested positive on Friday after dodging it for 2 weeks after my daughter brought it home from school, who gave it to my son, who gave it to my wife. I’d been home 2 days after watching the Tour de France and did a pre work test an there it was, that line. So far it’s been much milder than when I had Delta which tried to kill me. I’m just keeping fed, watered and rest when needed. Have lost half a stone and managed to walk the dog most days and finish a bike project off but not right yet by any means. Wife was positive for 8 days. She avoided all the other waves and was the only one not to get Delta. Thank the Lord!

Get well soon folks with Covid.
I met up with some of the nurses who cared for me last year and it’s good to hear that things are milder and a lot less healthy people getting hospitalised, as the media have stated. It’s a strange thing how many jabbed friends and colleagues are having similar symptoms to the unjabbed I know, about 50/50 among my immediate colleagues.
My son had Covid 3 weeks ago and had Dalta back in October when I got very ill, he tested positive for 5 days and shook it off. His taste and smell still haven’t recovered from Delta. But his immune system is pretty good. A 3x jabbed work mate tested positive for 14 days. Really bizarre.Thoughts with those in locked down countries.

Thanks, yes I’m doing well, cycled up Box Hill on Thursday so feeling much stronger.
It was a journey, I’m thankful for so many blessings . Yes I’m grateful that we have a fantastic healthcare system made up of wonderful men and women who have come from far and wide to care for us.
Happy to share my experience or pray for anyone who may be in the position I was in. DM.
I certainly was supported and carried through by many who prayed, after being on max oxygen c pap for 2 nights it was assumed I had made sufficient progress, 3 days later I was not progressing (sats not improving)and having been told I’d be going back to the other ward, I prayed for a breakthrough and started exercising in my bed and drinking hot green tea. This helped clear the lungs sufficiently to increase oxygen. 2 days later I was off oxygen and had to have 24 hours off it before I could be discharged. There are more details I won’t share but I did get home and got on a high protein diet and carried on clearing my lungs for about 10 days. Having spent most of my time in hospital on my front I had to retrain my balance too, that took about a week.
I’d rather pray to a God I know and who listens, than cross my fingers as 2 consultants told me to do.
I genuinely hope no one reading this has to go through what I did.
My wife managed amazingly well considering the situation and worked through. She did visit me 3 times which was like having an angel turn up. Having her push me out in a wheel chair into fresh air to the car was just like a dream. -
Back in October I got the virus, as did my 3 teenage kids. Kids had various symptoms from backache to temperatures. They caught it at school and I was positive within 5 days or so of the first kid getting it. Cut a long story short I had severe pneumonia and spent 18 days in hospital. There were 2 of us males who were not vaccinated and the others were covered by the jabs. 3 men sadly died next to me over that time who had underlying conditions. The other guy who was not jabbed left 2 days before me.
My system went into overdrive and my wife had the call to say things were serious. Much prayer went out from our church families and I’m thankful to say God answered and allowed me to recover and get home 4 days before my middle child’s birthday.
My wife was triple jabbed as a healthcare worker and did not get it. However she has colleagues who have long Covid who were vaccinated.
We, myself and 2 kids also got the first variant back in Early 2020, That was ok, just a pretty bad chest infection, son lost his taste and had glowing toes.
So from my experience it was a wake up, not to take life for granted and sort out a load of stuff that I was putting off. It also reinforced how important and real my faith is. Oh and I lost 10 kg in that time, not in a good way so hoping to loos it again sensibly as I have put half that back on.
I have been riding again for 3 weeks or so and my lungs seem to be getting stronger.
Stay safe all. Blessings for 2022. -

They sold decals to the public so it could be anything. However they did sell Olmo training frames with mudguard eyes, my brother had one back in the day. So if it’s Italian threaded it may be an Olmo.
They were a great shop and, as skint kid with “gas pipe English frames” as they called them, I was still welcome on a weekly bases to buy small spares and I stickered my bikes with their decals. -
