Statins can be a bastard. GPs dole them out like smarties because they are cheap and effective. But if you are intolerant (like me and a surprisingly large proportion of the population) be prepared for some misery until your Doc accepts that maybe they aren’t for you. Bastards tried three flavours on me before accepting that maybe muscle pain gut ache and malaise I was reporting might be side effects of bloody medication they’d prescribed. Luckily no muscle loss which can be a thing - they can literally melt and clog organs! On something else now which seems OK, which is good because apparently I’m genetically predisposed to have mad cholesterol despite healthy diet, tons of exercise etc.

Nearly got wiped out on a Tiger crossing on Wandle Trail heading North across London Road/A217 west of Mitcham yesterday lunchtime. Waited for westbound traffic to stop, started to cross when a big white window company van sailed through eastbound, no attempt to stop at all, it just tore across Tiger and adjacent Zebra. Luckily I’d seen it and realised he wasn’t stopping (he was actually gunning it) so full on braking had me stopped before I was halfway across. Caught him at next lights he was rolling window down with profuse apologies even as I approached so didn’t bother to d-lock him. Pathetic scrawny arsed twat, red-eyed with lighter in hand giving off a strong drug-driving vibe. Told him about himself of course. Didn’t get details, but the crossing is a death trap (literally, I think an old guy was killed by a bus there recently) and should be light controlled. So who do I get in touch with about that? Location 51.395373, -0.173440.

Seems this lazy super hero might have a more industrious arch nemesis. The Eraser?
