I get it maybe comprised, wear out quicker etc but having something I can take on the bus/ train whenever I want, is a big plus.
It mainly for winter commuting as for some reason I am really slow and the trip back takes nearly a hour and half. Hopefully with an assisted bike it’s more consistent 70 minutes or so.

What are people’ views on using an electric Brompton for a 35 mike round trip commute. Most of it is paved. I realise a full sized bike is better but I only do this 2/3 times a week and it’s more for winter.
Also I like the flexibility of not having to worry about locking a full size bike out and about on London and visiting friends.

I got this to use as a pub bike and have not got around to fixing it up.
Due to me moving I would rather not put it in storage, so it’s up for sale.
It’s a 56cm tt with suntour kit.
It needs a little work bit the frame is sound with no dings or dents I can see.
Would anyone be interested at £50 collected from Ruislip.
It does have a nice plastic brooks saddle
Thanks
Pm me if interested

Well I say as new, its got a minor chip on the downtube where I dropped an allen key and a grand total of 12 miles on the whole bike!
Its standard spec in the red and I have not used it, for all sorts of reasons. Given the change in my personal circumstances it may as well get used.
This is the older spec with 10 speed tiagra and HRP Hy-rd brakes, so nothing hydraulic or with 11 speed.
Collection only from W London
The only thing missing is a seat. I ended up using it after the saddle on my commuter broke and then subsequently the OEM saddle broke.
