That's correct, it's a disc brake rim.

Looks like it could be and I wouldn't be able to say it was removable but it does look like hairline bit is missing on the 'a'.

I would say it's a true S, perhaps closer to club fit than true race fit. You could fit a thick merino under it no problem.

I'm looking to get a new bike shortly and it's a case of one in / several out so it's time to sell this Chris Marshall frameset. Nice dropped seatstay and aero fork crown details. I've been lucky enough to ride a quite a few classic steel road frames and this has been by far the nicest.

Columbus tubeset, similar to that used by some MBK framesets. Paintwork is scruffy and has been touched up quite a bit.

A one hole tip is definitely better. You can get a domed nut and drill a small hole in it for cheap solution. I can send you one that's been done on the wonk if you don't have access to a drill.

Thinking of a HC build? Do you want to cut and file bike parts to save mere grams to the point they are barely functional? How about you start with a 117g cassette?

This is cassette is so lightweight it's already got a couple of teeth removed on the 15 & 16 sprockets but you could potentially cut it down, add spacers or other sprockets for a super super lightweight cassette.
