Hmm, today is the first day I've cycled all the way in from Rubery. Looking at Calthorpe Park it's actually on the Cycle Route 5 I took in this morning. Wondering if I'll ever feel up to doing that one day and then 'popping in' for a bit of polo on the way home. Given how shattered I feel now from my ride in, maybe not!

You having court sharing woes on Sunday too now? I assumed it was just a Wednesday thing... Not sure if you saw the pic of the basketball court where I've moved, at the back of my house in Rubery. I l know it's a way out, but if you wanted to try that I could scope out the best, quietest times...?
On another note, what make is the hard ball you've used when I've played with you? Where did you get it? Not the rubbery one that tends to stick under my mallet (I'll blame my tools for poor play, yes).

Are any of you aware of the location here: https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@52.4813668,-1.8842161,292m/data=!3m1!1e3
It's out the Digbeth side of Millennium Point and is the site of the new HS2, but at the moment is largely used as a car park, but with lots of wide open area. It's all concrete, floodlit, and, from the side where my work's window overlooks it, looks like it has enclosed 'court-sized' areas, like a pool shape - it might just be perfect for bike polo on occasions when the other court is being used...? I know it's a bit further north, but not much. Just a thought.
The only issue might be access. I see students / skaters there sometimes but I don't know if it's public access or gets locked up at night.

I'm assuming with only one other person in for tonight, I'm out too. I was going to have to pull out anyway I think - I've been trying to find out if it's on in Wolverhampton this Saturday as they're more local to me, anyone got contact details for them?

Aw, but it's reported to be improving at 8 - no rain from 8 onwards! http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/weather/forecast/birmingham-west-midlands-conurbation#?tab=fiveDay&fcTime=1401836400

I'm trying to ignore the rain hammering it down outside and assume it might be better weather this evening.
I just wanted to check, if I come along would someone be able to lend me a bike and mallet please? I know I mentioned it above... I've been scouring ebay and gumtree for possible secondhand mountain bikes to convert at a later date. Thanks.

Would this Wednesday (4th June) be a good evening for a newcomer? I've never played before, don't have a single speed bike, mallet, etc, but would like to give this a go. Do you have spare bike/mallet I could try with please?
I actually live near Wolves, but work at Millenium Point so could drive over on my way home on Wednesday.
Woah, what happened to the timing? I thought it used to be 6? I'm only saying because I happen to be cycling past on the way home at 6ish.... but you won't be there....
Another time maybe.
