I’ve owned this Look KG286 for over 5 years now. Got it in Santa Monica and rode all the hills there over 2 years and then shipped it to the UK where I’ve continued using it.
I really like this bike but I want to get a more winter friendly bike, this one runs on 23cc and roads in the UK are not made for those.
Now, the issue I have is that the hike has some cracks on the paint and a decent chip near the bottom bracket that’s been there since I purchased it. Like I said, used it all over the Santa Monica and Malibu hills with no issue but I don’t know if the bike would be of interest to anyone.
I got a quote to repair and restore the paint but it was nearly £2K so I opted to carry on riding it as it was.
I’d appreciate any advice people may have as to sell it or just forget it and don’t even bother.

Have had these in storage since lockdown and before that they were only used during 3 summers. Reason for selling is that now I have a pair of FFWD and don’t need them anymore.

Cassette not included. Tubes and tyres are but the front one had a blow out so it’s only the rear one that is good to go (they are a pair of Conti 5000 25mm that I used for the last summer only).

Sole owner of the bike. Used it to commute from my place to Wimbledon station mainly (about 3 miles) and an occasional lap in Richmond Park. Few marks on the frame but no bumps, never been crashed. Headset bearings need replacing though (it’s been seating in storage since I started working from home), I checked and I think replacement would be around £20.
I can swap the SPD pedals for some Look or flat pedals.

The bike rides well but could do with some TLC.

@Kajetan I have a KG286 with the same issues on the frame (up to the chip near the bottom bracket) and I've had it checked, paint cracks usually mean carbon cracks. This was a proper health check on the frame done by a carbon repair shop

I had another pair in M and I found that the gripper isn't very tight, maybe I need sprinter thighs.

I'd say more Rapha than Castelli. Never worn Castelli myself but I've heard that it's always smaller in size
