Depends on the bank. Eg. Barclays has a £50k limit for single transfers online, you can do up to £100k in any 24h period. On the phone or via app it is usually less. I would call up and ask your bank, it’s worth flagging it to them in any case as even smaller transfers could be temporarily held due to money laundering etc which can then simply be waved through

In Europe it’s pretty common to have one of those ramps in apartment buildings where bikes are stored in the communal basement.
See a variable length ramp here from a German site: https://ukib.de/Variabel-einstellbare-Fahrradrampe-E-Bike-Treppenrampe-von-60-365-cm-Laenge -

Thank you @stevo_com @rogan @Howard, makes sense looking at it from that perspective
If they do accept, can anyone recommend a good surveyor in Forest Hill area?
-
Decided to take the plunge into home ownership. We have put in an offer for a place in Forest Hill. Can anyone recommend a decent surveyor in the area?
Also perhaps a noob question but the EA has asked for an AIP to qualify our offer. While we have an AIP, it is for an amount almost as high as our offer so the other side can easily see that we could go higher. Should I just get a new AIP or is it worth showing that you some room to go higher (we went in a bit less than 5% below asking so expect to be told to go higher)? -
I have the SKS edge AL 46 on my Cross Check and quite like them, easy to install too. They are perhaps a bit shorter than some other mudguards at the rear (fine for commuting, though I have installed RAW mud flaps for extra coverage). I think 40mm tyres are probably the largest you can mount with these mudguards (I’m using 40 G-One)

I have a Sinn 6052 whose day function is moving at 2x the normal speed (ie. during the night it goes from Monday to Wednesday). From what I observed the process sets in motion at roughly midnight (as it has always done) but will continue changing the day until c. 8am (usually a 1day change is complete by c. 3am).
I fear I might have caused this when I absentmindedly set the watch during the night ...
How much £ would I be looking at to get this repaired and could you recommend anyone in London? Thanks! -

The £26/tyre offer is for the performance line version, OP is referring to the Evolution line which could be these ones:
https://www.tredz.co.uk/.Schwalbe-G-One-AllRound-MicroSkin-Tubeless-Easy-OneStar-Evo-Folding-Gravel-Road-Tyre_100928.htm
Though there are several other versions of the Evo line. -
Cranks sold and frameset is on hold. Wheelset might also be on hold pending some questions.
@SideshowBob thanks!

Buy a crown mounted one like @thebrenthamtaffy and @M_V suggest. You’re less likely to get brake judder the lower down the front your mount the cable hanger (although you might still get it, in which case you need to toe in your brake pads as next step).
Get rid of that end noodle and route the brake cable+outer from the bars to the hanger and feed outer into the hanger just like you would with normal calliper brakes, no need to go above the stem -

Thanks for the info, updated thread title
@T0mg @Congo interest noted. Happy to split if I have buyers for wheelset and F&F at least as my main concern in freeing up space
@SimonR92 thank you! Yours looks stunning indeed! I wish I had more space to keep mine :(

I am selling my Roberts Lo-Pro. Living in a pretty small flat I simply cannot justify the space for the few times a year it gets used.
If my research is correct this has some forum history, having been owned by @gav, @Harry.Major and @fourforty, whom I bought it off.
It was originally a TT frame (rear dropout width 126mm) with Zeus track dropouts which had a cable hanger attached but a previous owner must have filed it off. It is drilled for front and rear brakes and has internal rear brake cable routing through the top tube. The geometry is for 700c wheels f/r
I am not sure when it was built, but the BB stamp would indicate 1984. Apart from the BB cluster it is beautifully fillet brazed throughout and made from either Columbus Air
or Reynolds 531 Speedstream tubing, meaning all tubes are aerodynamically shaped (or at least what was considered "aero" at the time), including the seat tube and proprietary seat post. The seat post seems to have been repaired some time ago, which isn't surprising given the seatclamp design. As you can see (picture with seat post fully extended) it is quite easy to damage the post if doing up the seat clamp too tight or too lose so the post is slipping. I tried to get round this problem by using a shim with some success, but in the end you just have to be very careful when doing up the seatclamp. The paint is a nice metallic red but chips quite easily. There are chips on the down tube, stays (most notable near the rear brake) and 3-4 smaller chips on the top tube. The decals are above the lacquer and are starting to come off in places. In some places there is what must be residue from previous decals. No dents.
Size
Seat tube: 57cm c-t
Top tube: 58cm c-c (~56cm virtual horizontal)
Head tube: 7cmIn the pictures it is set up for me (186cm/6ft 1in) so that I am in about the same position as if in the drops on my road bike. It would say it would fit someone 5ft 11 to 6ft 2, the limiting factor is the seat post really
It is currently build up with
Campag C-Record Pista (v2) crankset, original chain ring bolts, 52t Super Record Track 3/32 chainring, only one dust cap, can include bolts with integrated dust cap if you want
Campag Centaur square taper BB, 111mm, English thread
Cinelli 1A stem, 26.4mm clamp, 7cm extension
Cinelli LA84 Handlebars, 40cm c-c, 26.4mm clamp, drilled by previous owner for internal cable routing, marks from aero bars
Selle Italia Turbo saddle, reissue, marks/cuts near the rear on both sides

If you want to spend a little less money on a bar that might turn out not to be the right shape, the Nitto M151f or M109AA (the latter is available at @thecycleclinic ) have the same shape as the M106 at almost half the price. I have the M109 and find it very comfortable

That design is sold by a bunch of companies and shops. I bought the titanium version through eBay from China (no idea if same manufacturer).
They hold bottles firm but not so much that you can’t get them out quickly. I think weight was as claimed.
Only thing I didn’t like was that one of the cages had the upper bolt hole drilled very slightly off centre so the inserted bottle does not quite align with the down tube. Its not that noticeable though and doesn’t bother me. -

@Dawid_Owl
Quick to respond and went out of his way to deliver to me. Nice to meet you! -
Cane creek headset at a very good price recently spotted by @mdcc_tester
Otherwise what ^ said, either the Advanced FF4 forks from Ceeway or Columbus Minimal (cheapest I could find is £140 at Triton). There might be some used Look, Easton or Reynolds Ouzo forks on eBay too.
You can find shims on eBay for less than £5, make sure they correspond to the stack height of the stem
Thanks, that’s what other websites seem to suggest as well. Did your mate have any issues with damp after installation? Some suggest this could be an issue but we have quite a deep crawl space so hope it won’t be an issue for us
