Yeah, Im also interested how it will end up!
I have taking the bike apart, and it's in a surprisingly good condition under the gunk. The bottom bracket is kind of stuck but runs smoothly so I probably leave as is.Still no firm plans for the build. I think a ratty frame deserves shiny parts. That combined with some silly handle bars is probably where it is heading. Most likely single speed too.

Tool Porn is maybe a stretch, was just gifted these two items by my dad.
The Teng Tools kit will probably come handy. The flexibility of the handle is neat and the ratcheting mechanism is subjectively nicer than my Wera stuff.
The Victorinox "Officer Suisse" is from my dad's uncle and was something "he had since forever and it was always with him".
It is in great condition and I´m super happy having it. -

Was only looking for a XT derailleur, this one came with a bike attached for the total sum of 5 EUR.
Curious to take this apart. The frame is made by Hans Lutz, a German track bike professional with olympic medals on his CV. Appears to be Columbus SLX tubings, probably decent stuff.
The handle bar situation is all over the place.

Small update. Found a combined Nitto stem and Noodle bar at a decent price, I think it suits the bike quite well and the fit seems good.
Mocked up with some Shimano LX Mountain parts I had laying around, chainrings will probably be replaced to a 2x set up but will keep as is for now.
Next to decide is what brakes and tyres to use.
