ETA: on the train home an Ipswich fan said we are the best they’d played all season, which surprised me.

My kid set this up for the first time in a decade to look at the moon last night. I was blown away - the details on the craters. And then beneath it was a planet, that I assumed was Venus, but when I looked at it I saw tiny moons and it turned out it is Jupiter. I am awestruck!

I wear just one of my contact lenses - this is a great hack. You can read, and you can see far away things too. Your brain apparently sorts it all out. (Also half price compared with wearing two). I honestly suggest giving it a go. It works.

Quick technical question. I bought a second hand Tacx Neo years ago for Zwifting. I recently decided the bike attached to it needed new chain and the cassette was also worn. When I tried to replace the cassette (first time I have tried this as I am not skilled in mechanics) it turns out it is Campy on a Tacx Campag free hub. The Shimano cassette doesn’t fit on it.

Now it feels like me options are:

Change the free hub but it seems quite hard and expensive to find a Tacx Shimano free hub.

Can I use just any old Shimano free hub or is there something special about the Tacx version? If I can that’s ideal.

Or, given it never caused me problems before, can I run a new Campag cassette with Shimano group set and chain? Or was I just lucky before?

I agree it’s ambitious.

There are 7 million people aged 15 to 24 in the UK, around 10% of the population. In 4 years’ time that cohort will be the right age for most Olympic sports. So 6% of the population thinking that with training they could compete in 4 years’ time isn’t ridiculous.

I’m going to go over for the day for the men’s road race. Guessing it will be mobbed in Monmartre and I have no appetite for waiting on a barrier for 6 hours but will see how it goes.
