I'm always a bit suss of photos of a lot of items taken with three different backgrounds: some of the pics are taken on a black carpet with no weave, the rest on a purple carpet with a distinct weave and the other on a hardwood flooring.
Have you tried dropping the photos onto Google search? That'll tell you if the exist elsewhere: a sure sign of a copy/paste 'non existent item' scammer.

+1 screw extractors. Great on large bolts (6mm plus) but near hopeless on smaller ones. My lbs got a stripped hex out of a vitus by soldering a long handle 4mm Allen key into the stripped hole. I've also seen this done successfully with a welding joint on stuck pedals into cranks you have to cut the bulk of the pedal off to leave a stub of the spindle, weld a steel bar onto it at 90 degrees and bosh, it's off. It's all about leverage innit!!

Thanks. That's a nice example. A good Carbitubo duo frame is always in the region of £1000. This one is even rarer being a pristine example of a pukka German Team bike. As a complete build it owes me about £2.5k, so I think it's a very fair selling price for the high level of finish you get for your money.

I've got a 56cm gen 1 C40 myself, haven't built it up yet but placed it side by side a 56cm Colnago Super and it looks pretty much identical geo. Maybe 0.5cm in the seat tube, which is nothing. I've found I've been able to make just about any frame less than 58cm fit me! For everyday cycling I'll ride a 55.5cm Daccordi TSX.
Sizing is a bit of old cobblers imo. Just about anyone can ride a bike within a 1.5cm range, given saddle and bars adjustment. Oh to be pro and get every bike millimetre perfect!
I was chatting to Rominger after the race in Crans Montana, top bloke, and like nearly every Swiss rider there, all Colnago fetishists. Rominger has SIX carbitubo bikes (count em). He also owns a garage full of Joker C4 which he apparently bought at a bankrupt sale when they went belly up. Daresay they'll wind up on eBay one day... -

The first gen duo had lug problems. I've steered well clear. This being a handmade team issue bike I'd say it was more like a regular geometry, and 57cm square so no daft angles to upset the ride quality.
I also have the original (to this Carbitubo) owners extreme lo profile which was ridden at the 1988 Seoul Olympics and the 1989 world champs. Have provenance!!

Colour not really much to speak of, £800.
Cheers, Glws. 500 is a good price for a nice Italian Campag specced thoroughbred!
