Came up with this design for my flat, brief was wall mounting for 4/5 bikes, and be as compact as possible. I was mounting on plasterboard so had to make sure I was spreading the load correctly.
I ended up going for Topeak Swing-up hooks, a little pricey but the big plus is that they swing, which means I can fold the bikes to the left and right for easy access and also make them sit closer together.
The hooks are then mounted to 2 t-slot profiles, the slots mean that the hooks can be loosened and then slid along to another position, good for precisely positioning bikes to handlebars saddles nicely fit together.
Overall, really pleased. Super easy to get bikes in and out, doesn't intrude too much into the room. Hasn't fallen down yet!

Interesting, I was worried that having multiple in a row fairly compact might be an issue. Think I’d rather be safe than sorry so think having an additional base might be the way to go, kind of don’t want to be super careful every time I put a bike up or down. Good to know it doesn’t need to go into the struts.
Any thoughts on the thickness of ply to use as the base?

Looking for some tips on a DIY project I’m planning. Basically I want to put up 5 bike hooks on an internal plasterboard wall. I know I’ll need something to brace the wall sufficiently which is directly screwed into the studs. I’ve seen before people just attach horizontal strips of plywood across the wall and then attach the hooks to that. Think this might look a little ugly though.
I was perhaps thinking about covering the wall top to bottom with a plywood board instead, which I think could look good. I’m not quite sure how to deal with the intersection with the skirting board at the bottom though, as well as the right side of the wall is not a right angle so there won’t be a flush join.
Anyone got any smart ideas of going about this? Also worried that the screws I’d need to use to mount the hooks on the plywood would have to be quite short to not go through the back and through the plasterboard, or is that not an issue?
Photo attached, is the wall the bikes are leant against.

This setup has been working pretty well for me, this was packing for a 3 day long weekend. Could easily pack a lot more on though which is nice for longer tours. Nice to have lots of extra space to strap on additional food and bits when needed.
Fairweather dry bag and holder on the front, and also matching frame bag. Rear panniers are custom made by Bigxtop using the same colour xpac.

Have an original OP1 I’m looking to sell. Didn’t end up getting on with the workflow so moving it on. Do love the synth engines though, just prefer step sequencers to the record to tape mechanic.
I bought it about a year ago from eBay. If I remember correctly, the previous guy had the power button repaired at some point. Everything is working as expected though, the on board speaker is not great but heard that it the case with all of them.
Comes with the original charging cable, as well as the teenage engineering carry case which I bought new around the same time I got it. Also have the original foam mould case it came with including the TE rubber bands that hold it together.
Looking for £600. Ideally collected from E5 but can post.

Thanks for the detailed response. All quite complicated eh haha
So the company is not public, so far there has been no opportunities to sell shares and not sure there will be for a while. The company is still in the early days.
Tax sounds like it’s gunna be a pain so good to be aware of it. Thankful I have some good account so they should be able to walk me through things tax related when it’s needed.
Nice should on checking if I can file a W8-BEN, the options are on Carta.
