This is not a site I've seen before but felt I had to join in as I used to own one of these bikes. I bought it second hand in about 1958 in Cardiff. I don't know how old it was but I think it was pretty new and in immaculate condition. It had two front chain rings (called double clangers then) and a four speed Huret derailleur, which I soon changed for Campagnolo. The rear wheel was threaded on one side for fixed wheel and the other for freewheel and I used to change regularly from one to the other but generally used the freewheel for longer rides. What a brilliant bike. It looked so good. Probably it was heavy but I don't recall struggling with it.... younger then of course! I kept it for about 8 years and enjoyed many, many miles on it including Bristol to Torquay when I was 16. Sold it to a neighbour for his boy who sadly had it stolen after about a week. Always regretted letting it go but I had a motorbike and car in the garage by then. Best of luck with your sale and I hope it goes to a good home.
