I think what you are saying is "left can be mean and hateful too", which in the context of the left complaining about how mean the right are when it comes to death threats / personal hate against Clinton or Obama, sure, those things are more or less equivalent. Neither side has "moral high ground" and I still feel like that kind of hate is irrelevant to whatever the actual political issues are.
This. My post was about the linking of the CNN train image here and whether anybody here sees, shares, discusses or even distances themselves from any of the extreme examples provided when it's aimed at Trump, at Trump's supporters. If anyone can point me quite to where I legitimised white supremacy and the mowing down of people protesting against Nazis, racists and fascists by some far-right cunt in a Dodge, then I'll wait.
Once again, I said - and still think - the cartoon was both in bad taste and appallingly timed. Perhaps my post was badly timed too, however, it's spectacular that questioning if people feel the same anger towards those who write about and symbolise killing the guy that they do when he Tweets about 'taking down' news corporations could suddenly align me with white supremacy...
I don't think that can be what you mean.
...and you would be correct.Opposing white supremacy is not a left/right issue.

Wise choice. Stay away, it's a cesspit.
A single forum thread where much of the users appear to be against the guy is probably a bad place for gaining the whole picture. Sure, there are a million reasons to think the guy's an awful person, and absolutely a bad leader - which I think he is - but some balance is needed and I rarely tend to see the left's often questionable and extreme actions discussed and held to account in establishment media, or even here, as much as I do the right's. That is a good point you make when put into that context, but the moment one side resorts to the sorts of things they denigrate their opponent for, on anyone, they lose the moral high ground.
Also a good point, you reminded me of that image. Though, to be fair, the Medusa/Perseus mock-up didn't have Hillary's head covered in 'blood'...

@starfish&coffee
Oh I condemn it, I think it's awful...as does basically the entire thread. You obviously - or conveniently, both fit - missed the part where I also condemned the CNN train thing and its timing at the very start of my post. Great, engaging reply though, failing to add anything of any worth or acknowledge any of my examples of reciprocated media extremism and imagery (incidentally not one of which you could say a bad word about, before resorting to the deflection, I noticed)
What isn't so prevalent is the same hysteria when the radical left indeed call for him to be killed, when regular depictions of his death are allowed to circulate among media, when 'anti-hate' groups like ANTIFA resort to violence and rioting against anyone and anything they perceive to challenge their actions or their views, when screaming into someone's face constitutes 'discussion', when JK Rowling recently used her platform to flat-out lie about Trump ignoring a disabled child to whip up anger, yet the kid's own mother had to intervene to clarify to her that situation simply didn't happen and was verified by camera footage...
It's a bit rich when one side that gets torn apart and scrutinised so vigorously, is so by an opposing side that is often, itself, just as awful and violent and deceptive, but which postures as the side against anger, against violence, against division and all for tolerance.

On the subject of Dukes, I'll forever be grateful to have been at the Brands Hatch World Superbike rounds during the mid-late 90s - standing on the short straight between the frightening-fast Hawthorn bend and Westfield corner, in the wooded section, hearing a line of 955s, 916s and the odd wildcard on an ancient 888 roar through the trees in a great line, dicing with RC45s, Carl Fogarty against the world - absolutely amazing time and place to have been alive.

This and the whole timing of it is horrendous. For balance, however, in pop culture and mainstream media, Trump has been 'shot', crosshairs have been depicted over his head on front pages, 'verified' Twitter folks, along with many, many average-Joe Twitter users, make remarks about his assassination on a regular basis, an effigy of his severed head has been held...
They kinda incite violence and violence is what anti-Trump folks profess to be against.
Has anyone here linked to these occurrences? Furthermore, has anyone here condemned these occurrences? Genuine question.

Another large-scale gang of child rapists and sex offenders uncovered, this time in Newcastle. Up to 703 complainants, 278 victims (as young as 14 - young girls and vulnerable young adult women drugged and raped in a residential tower block) and up to 461 arrests made, with, so far, 18 convicted. Another Rotherham.
Also reported the police 'hired' an already convicted child rapist to be exposed to young victims as an informant.
Where are the neighbours? Where is anyone in the community coming forward? Remember the Rotherham situation wasn't properly investigated due to the fear of 'racist' labelling...

Beat me to it. Just like with Nicky Hayden earlier this year - you spend a dangerous career racing motorcycles (Nieto's era, in particular, being when the only track safety was the odd lamppost, wire fence and solid earth mound...) and you're tragically taken riding a vehicle for leisure.
Those Derbis were classics.

Oh no, seems ultra-super-slow-mo replays of nothing happening have made it to cycling, at least on this stage.
It's infuriating watching MotoGP races when there's an intense battle going on for position, and then the director cuts to a 30 second replay of a bike just going round a corner or down a straight as it normally would, but at about 0.00001mph, at least 5 or 6 times in a race.
Prepare for that to be happening at the exact moment riders make crucial attacks...

"Not so fun?"
How old are you?
Well I don't hate to agree with you, or to credit your highlighting of others' extreme posts - I'm working on this new concept where I appreciate people disagree with me on things, but I deal with it without flailing my arms in the air and creating a voodoo doll of them and stabbing it repeatedly...
I agree with basically everything you just typed (last paragraph - spot on)
The one thing I disagree with is the naivety of thinking the 'Trump clown' in the video is innocently just a clown...that happens to look like Donald Trump. I don't buy that just like you don't buy my original questioning.
