Building me a hill-climb bike

Hi Rob, nice to meet you today - found this thread and have a few thoughts on your build.

I have the same Kalloy stem and it's pretty noodly even at 100mm. I put Ti bolts on it though which lost 10g (total cost was like £30 for a 100g 100mm stem). So depends whether stiffness or weight is your priority. I know that I can actually visibly see the flex if I push down on either side of the bars.

Have you thought about one of the eBay carbon saddles? They are essentaily a Toupe Pro clone (140mm wide I believe) and mine came in at 97g. If you're going to the trouble of stripping and drilling an SLR then at £20 the eBay saddle is worth a punt, especially as its 20g lighter.

Enjoy the forks dude - they're very light and insanely stiff. Pretty sure they're not UCI legal though, but hey...

No substantial reductions on anything for the moment, although I will consider sensible offers on anything.

Lots of quality stuff for sale here. Pick up in Bristol preferred, I go to uni there, although away at the moment can easily return if arranged.

First up: Dura Ace 7800 SRM Power meter, wired. I used it for a few hundred miles, then bought a cross bike and left it sitting on the shelf for a while. It worked perfectly when I last used it, however, I cannot vouch for how long the battery will last as it was not a fresh battery when I started using it. PCV head unit is a bit marked, but you can't see it unless in direct sunlight - again works perfectly. Rings are 53/40. Comes with data cable, charger, SRM CD + bottom bracket mount.

This is a really quality bit of kit £330- now £310.

Next up, full carbon Easton EC90 Aero 1 inch forks: rare as hens teeth.
Steerer at 195mm from top of crown race (might need to get that popped off as it's part of a Record headset). A few stone chips on the red paint at the bottom, otherwise faultless. Comes with a quality LOOK 1 inch expander bung.
