SOLD!
This was my trusted commuting/recreational steed for 1 and 1/2 years. However, it was a little large for me and I have since purchased other bikes to fit the bill. Hence, the bike has been sitting idle since August 2013 and I decided that it is about time it becomes useful again to someone else.
I bought it new for £740 in Feb 2012 and have all the original documents and receipts.
The frame and handling are superb and it is the safest bike I have ever ridden. It stays incredibly well planted on the downhills, and breaks better than my tarmac. I mostly used Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels on it, which give an incredible boost in performance, but eventually went back to the stock wheels for commuting as I found them smoother and more comfortable.
It is in great condition with only a few superficial rubber marks from the lock I used at work on the top tube. The bottom bracket was replaced in early 2013 and cleaned again in Sept 2013. Brand new rear break and front has still plenty to go. Brand new unused ultegra chain.
Tyres: Michelin Prog 4 endurance: Used for 2 months. Good tires but not very durable, I run Bontragger all weather SLR hard case before and Conti GP 4000 and highly recommend them for commuting.

Every time I have to change old chains and tires on my bikes I wonder if there is a proper way to dispose or recycle them.
Same for inner tubes, although I do save some for chain protectors.
I have googled on the subject but have not found conclusive answers.
Read a similar thread on tires, so I am mostly interested on chain disposal, but I thought it doesn't hurt to revive the topic.
Any thoughts or suggestions?

I always thought that something like this is possible, but never believed it would actually happen!
You may want to delete or hide this post for now. Not sure how you advertised the Bianchi in the first place, but if you used this site, the guy may be monitoring it for his next victims.
Avoid paying him through Paypal, as he may take the money and never turn up. Insist on paying cash and in person, hoping that he doesn't get weary. I wonder if he is even going to ship the bikes to the other two buyers? Paypal has his info. The critical point is to get your bike back to prove that he stole it. Definitively report the situation and serial to the police. It is your proof for anything that may happen. But as mentioned above, unfortunately, it is up to you to retrieve it. Until the law takes bike theft seriously, these punks will operate unabated.
Good luck man!
