@HoKe That is some pout.
I like the sound of this ride of the fallen leaves thing (although I'm not the biggest fan of the paragon). Anyone fancy riding as a group?
-
9526 and although I swear I made 'fun' faces at photographers they must all have been non official... I look bleeding miserable in all of these. Although they effectively capture the heavy bulk of a bike I was on.
-
looking at the official times (Bacci search your number - I couldn't find my surname, they'd put me under my middle name) it seems the Men 14793 and Women 4414 are the starting numbers. When you display results it shows Men 12150 and Women 2900 finishing times.
Yeah, I've searched my number, and don't have a middle name: nowt. I do exist on the Pru results page though - so browsed round my time on the google doc and still nothing. Google doc could be missing (more) people, potentially...?
Enjoyed your write-up, hoefla.
I was drafting with a cheery mancunian with a pace that matched mine well from mile 25 but he thought he was a celebrity and insisted on waving and shouting 'THANKS! thank you! yep! thanks! thanks a lot!' at every single person on the side of the road so I dropped him on leith hill to get some piece and quiet and had a more sane second half.

I have my combination walking stick/brolly with me today.
Dapper! Considering you must've placed in the top 1000, that's allowed.

Edited because I am a fool and paying attention to load time not start time. Bodes well.
@Jazzy, I may well be walking up leith hill with you.. Have not tackled it before. Scared.

@hoefla Do post on fri - am interested in a saturday run! What pace (roughly)? I do not want to slow you down if you're a speedy one!
@jazzy Ah, this is because I am new, I think. Shall drop you a line.

Hey Jazzy, am new on here but am doing the Ride100 (and that FT sportive on Sunday), am based in your hood, and my training hasn't exactly gone to plan - work/life events got in the way. So I'm a bit nervous too. And my bike's not great...
Would be very happy to go on some rides with you over the next 5 weeks. I'm a steady pace cyclist, but need some hill practice, always! Drop me a line if you're back in London any time soon. Hope your dad's health picks up.
Oh. I'm in according to the maybe-accurate mobile link. Who delivers news via a posted magazine in 2014?!
