I started at 6:30 on the dot and had quite a pleasant experience throughout for my first ever century cycle!

I already use strava, but that's probably won't last 6-8 hours of battery knowing the iPhone aha!

The longest ride I've ever done was last night and it was around 40-45 miles. This would be my first ever cycling sportive!

My phone ran out of battery, so it cut out probably just under 6-8 miles. My bum was hurting and legs were cramping all over near the end which worries me about covering the mileage. However as for climbing hills, I'm a bit more confident.

Is there no other method of getting your pack/number etc posted, without physically going to ExCel London?

I have been slightly put off riding fixed for this event now after reading all this! I haven't even considered single speed, I would either be fixed or geared.
