She's riding a fixed frame, but the geometry is different from a track bicycle. Does anyone know where I could cheaply purchase one or if it's easier to mod an existing fixie?

So, I got recommended the SKS chainguard. However, I just found out on youtube (the manual is non existent) that I need a modern bottom bracket, otherwise it won't work :S

Does anyone know a different solution for a chainguard on my fixie?

There are these stumps for lack of better words, that you can put on road bike bars if you don't have brakes (not going to put my front brake there). They provide better comfort. Anyone know what those things are called?

I got a fixie conversion (old steel road bike to fixie). I'm riding it with smaller cyclocross tires. I'm looking for a chain guard and full size alu/steel fenders. Does anyone know how I would accomplish that?

Yeah that would work, but then I'd have to weld the cog. I'd rather just put a proper fixed hub in.

I've build wheels, just never measured. Used to build wheels for a bike shop, where the owner just handed me the stuff and I build the wheels.

I got gifted two broken folding bikes, hoping I could make one functional out of them. Both rear wheels have damaged hubs. To follow the KISS principle, I would like to put in a fixed hub. I can make something fun out of that (that can probably go straight into anti-porn XD).

The current hub is a sturmey archer 3 speed hub. It looks like this one:

So I want to put in a new fixed hub, but how do I find out the right one? I want to reuse the rim and the spokes if possible. I don't really want to spend any money on it, but the hub is really needed.

It appears to be 14 spokes on each side, so 28 spokes total. Width, center to center, measured where the spokes are, seems to be about 62-65 mm.

Anyone got an idea of what kind of hub I could use?

Sorry for the newbie questions. Is 11 speed compatible with 11 speed? As in, can I the cranks and stuff from one brand, the rear derailleur from the next, the cassette from yet another brand?

I still have a road bike frame with fork laying around. I was thinking about building up a cheap racer. I thought maybe a 1x11 group would be nice?

I was thinking about shaving her. Soapy water doesn't seem to work on my, why would it work on a cat :S

Also, they came saturday and sprayed the house. Just got bitten again.

Stuff from the vet didn't work.

Found a company that sprays the entire house for 100 euro's / 87 pounds. They are coming on saturday. I really hope it will work.

I will get some other quotes. This might be the best thing. I barely slept last night, again. I'm considering getting her trimmed again. I can't go all the way through with a brush. Her fur is too thick for that.

Fleas are driving me nuts. Please advice.

I vacuumed the house, sprayed everything except one room, where the cat was. aired the house out, put cat somewhere else, sprayed last room. Did that 3 times in the last 2 weeks, using another brand of flea spray each time, from the cheap stuff to the expensive stuff. Takes 4 bottles each time to spray my house. I already spend 146 euro's / 129 pounds on spray bottles, 45 euro's / 40 pounds on an anti flea necklace, 25 euro's / 22 pounds on the activyl.

I got Activyl neck drops from the vet. They say stronghold doesn't work well anymore. They got resistant here. They told me to give it on monday, which I did. It's the 100mg for smaller cats, given about a week and a half after the first neck drops I gave her. My computer room seems to be flea free, but last night, my flea catchers (bowl of water with soap and a candle), caught 12 fleas in the kitchen and 5 in my bedroom. Big ones.

I brush her daily, I find at least 5 live ones (really alive) on her every day. I find dead fleas all around the house, but sometimes find live ones. I found one in my beard an hour ago. It's completely driving me nuts. I got red bumps all over my body.

I got an offer for 200 euro's / 176 pounds from renttokill, to spray my house, but no warranty. They might have to come back again after that. Maybe that is the answer? I don't know anymore.

I spend about a week at my parents house just to get some sleep, just going home every day to brush my cat and feed her. I can't take it anymore. It's driving me literally insane. I'm now sleeping on an air mattress in my computer room.

I went to the vet this morning. They say she's doing just fine, nothing is wrong. I can't use stronghold (which they sell) for another 3 weeks minimum. Otherwise it would be a double dosage and it might kill her. They are expecting a restock on tuesday, so I'm going back next week to get it, so I have it in my house. She get's anti worms every 2 months. I should have done anti flea more often and I will.

Vet recommended vacuuming daily for a few weeks but no mopping.

Behaviour problem of my cat is, because I only found out recently, she's deaf. Feliway might be a nice addition. Should check out the prices when I pick up the stronghold.

Indorex? That stuff contains permethrine. That kills cats :S That stuff is really dangerous.

As I said in a previous post on this page:

"Edit: There are two version of that spot on stuff, one for cats, one for dogs. if you use the dogs one on cats they die."

The difference is permethrine.
