^got m off mp? shiiit. been looking for tb14/a23 wheelsets on there recently. noice!
Yeah man, got these from Marktplaats.
These wheels are only slightly heavier than the Open Pros but the wider rims ride better and the Suntour hubs run smoother than the Miche ones.I'm going to sell the Open Pros x Miche wheels.

It was a misunderstanding, Kinoko will pay the shipping costs to the UK.
So it's all fine. Today I have sent the white forks to Kinoko.
With this paintjob a chrome fork isn't going to look that good but maybe I'll do a respray of the frame and then the chrome forks will look nice.I'll keep you updated.
-
After a (very) long while Kinoko finally sent me e-mails back.
It turns out they only have a replacement chrome fork which I don't think looks nice with this build and I have to pay for shipping of my old forks to Kinoko and the new ones.I think I'll buy some second hand steel or carbon forks instead.

let me know what size tyres you can fit on this michaelbeijl, i only have 23c to test - would like to know the biggest you can fit before buying some..
On the Kinoko website they say the maximum tyre clearance is 28c on the S2. I doubt you can fit a bigger tyre than that in the back. Front maybe but I'll have to measure that for you.

^^^ I was dealing with the recall when I worked for Kinoko, not Andrew. Unfortunately he might not have been informed about the situation.
If you send him a message telling him to ask Max about it, or to get in touch with Morgan. They will definitely replace them, we bought a stock of forks with which to do it.
I e-mailed Andrew back almost a week ago and sent a mail to the address which was noted on the recall webpage.
Haven't got a mail back from them. Don't know if it has something to do with Easter, but I almost think they're ignoring me...

digging both yur bikes but have you considered trying an OG flite Ti?
would be the Bizzsnattch
heading back to the Corner now
Haven't considered that yet. I'm happy with the Fizik Arione saddles. They are so comfortable. But indeed, they aren't that good looking.
that thrashr looks sick
It's a Cutter, but thanks man!

They should replace them for you immediately.
The recall notice is here - http://www.kinokocycles.com/blog/2013/09/12/tokyo-fixed-s2-2011-frameset-recall/
This is what they replied to my question:
"Hi,
I'm pretty sure that is an early model. The frame is fine but the forks were not good. I would suggest you replace the fork.
Andrew"
So I guess I have to buy new forks then..

I received the crankset today.
Suntour Superbe pro 165mm and 50T Suntour Superbe Pro chainring. Both cranks and chainring are NJS stamped.
I had a 110mm ISO bb laying around which gives a good 42mm chainline which I need with the Miche hubs.Pics:
Sorry for the poor quality pics. Don't have a proper camera lying around here now.
As for the tyres, has anyone already ridden with the Continental Grand Prix 4000S II? Thinking about buying those in 28c.

Hi there,
I've been lurking around here for a little while now and since I got a new frame I'm building up I thought it was a good time to finally make a thread on here.
I bought a Tokyo Fixed S2 frame from the Classifieds section here on LFGSS. I've been riding fixed for a couple of years and since I got a bike with a fairly light ratio for day to day commuting and riding to school and work, I wanted to also build a bike for long distance riding and finally go clipless.
Finding a bike in my size wasn't easy so I'm glad I found this one.
Pics of my commuter:
Colnago Street carbon forks:
It's a Volume Cutter frame I rattlecanned fluoro yellow. It's heavy but certainly fun to ride around town.
Now the 'new' bike:
Stripped a bit of the paint of the Deda Piega Compacts:
Enough clearance for 28s
Don't mind the wheelset and tyres. These are going on the Volume.
Setup is going to be:
Tange headset
SR 90mm stem
Suntour Superbe Pro crankset
50x18 ratio
Time Atac carbon pedals
Deda Piega Compacts
Fizik Arione saddle
Thomson inline seatpost
Mavic Open Pro CD to Miche Primato hubsGot these the other day:
It's going to be my first time clipless. Bought Time Atac pedals because I read a lot of good things about them on here.
Bought these dirt cheap second hand to match the pedals:
Installed some new cleats and set them on the 17 degree angle.
Hopefully tomorrow the Suntour Superbe Pro crankset will arive, So I'll keep you guys updated.

Hi there,
I just bought a Suntour Superbe Pro crankset and I was wondering what BB I need. The obvious choice is to buy a Suntour BB but I don't have that kind of money at the moment. Google says an ISO BB is prefered and not a JIS one.
I ride with Miche primato hubs which have a 42mm chainline. What (cheap) ISO BB do I need to achieve a 42mm chainline?

Bought a basket for the Volume Cutter yesterday:
Anyone know where I could get some Volume decals online?
