Hi,
Finally treating my 2007 Langster to a new wheelset... looking for something robust to commute the potholes of London with, new not second hand. Need a new rear free hub, prob 16T. I'm lazy, so want to buy a complete wheel set (new not second hand; a weird superstition).
Any suggestions? Should I just buy a normal road wheel set and chuck some spacers on (would that even fit me langster?).
Everything I have seen seems to be heavy or track grade.

Looks pretty cool. Was thinking of doing my stag there, but kinda want to do it outside of London. Know of any events like that outside of London round October time? Can only think of Revolution in Manchester, doubt muddy hell will be on after last years cancellation.... wanted to do a session at their velodrome, getting my mates on track bikes :D but it was full... sigh.
Any ideas?

I've been told off enough about this, but I really want a gold rear wheel!
Well. As gold as can be whilst not to expensive and sensible weight etc.Thinking planet x rear hub (I'm told it's rebranded novia tech)
Gold spokes (any idea where I can get em?)
brass nipps.
Open pro rim (black)Would you do anything differently?

Ello. Glad theres loads of langster love, and its not just me!
The rear on my 2007 (yup, the rust brown one) has finally died, so time to get a new rear. I havnt really bought much componentry before (well, except a bling gold stem from Planet X, a goldie looking chain and decent pedals).
Anyone got any recommendations? (I ride with a freewheel).

Argh. My rear wheel rim has popped. Probably time to get a new rear anyway, as I've had it 6 or 7 years now. I'm a bit of a novice in buying componentry.... any suggestions as to what I should get? I don't have time to build a wheel at the moment, as we're doing up our flat, and I need to ride! Its for a singlespeed mostly for communting, and the odd bit of road training....
If the rear is knackered, the front might be too soon. Is there much benefit buying a pair?
Hiya,
Got taken out on the way to work yesterday, and would like to claim against the driver for damage to my bike.
I don't have 3rd party insurance to the best of my knowledge (alas my BC membership had lapsed. Sigh). If I make a claim, can he make a counter claim against me for damage to his car? I'm suspecting that if I call him up and ask him for his insurance details, he will ask me for mine, which don't exist. Foolish I know now.
I don't yet know if I can prove it was his fault, as I don't have any witnesses (I failed to ask those who did witness it, as I was a bit concussed and not thinking straight), and am going to try and get some CCTV footage.
Where does that leave me?
