I just dont use the curved part of the bars, just tend to ride either holding like the top bar and use the breaks when necessarily

It's just the 4 junction/roundabout things I'm worried about.

I cycled to Dagenham East from Bethnal Green before and had to sprint across one before. Bike over shoulder. Almost went head over tits on the barrier.

I informed him it takes roughly 67miles the actual cycle route but he is persistent on us trying this hell hole route.

He is planning from Mile End through to Stratford, To Harold Wood then the turn off onto Southend Arterial road A127 all the way there.

37miles and 3hours 8 minutes 'apparently'

A friend of mine has mapped our a route from London to Southend-on-sea, which envolves cycling down the ratty A127 trail, jumping off 4 times, walking next to the motorway on the grass then maneuvering your way across 4 sets of intersections.

Is he just plain retarded or on a death wish.

Could be that you're trying (relatively) cheap saddles?

I've tried some of the Brooks saddles in the £100 or so range but had no luck still.

I'm struggling to find a saddle which i find comfortable.

I have tried numerous saddles from BLB, Charge and cheap-ish Brooks saddles but cant seem to find a favorite.

Can anyone recommend one for me? i know they are mainly down to personal preference.

I've done London to Brighton twice now and was thinking of venturing out to Southend-On-Sea soon.

The route looks slightly more straight forward than Brighton.

Could anyone possibly recommend a place to go in London/Essex/Kent? - Ideally London as i am based there.
