1) For regular bikes - seek a plant room (boiler-house?) that can be secured for access when regular bike parking is typical afterthought & not in sight of main entrance, or consider asking for container drop or similar storage at main door.
Bike Hire Fleets
2) Note that Beryl has stood down their London fleet - and made available free to NHS staff and set up deals with other locations (Watford, Bournemouth, Norwich &c)
3) Serco/Santander/TfL has an 'offer' for using Boris Bikes to NHS staff
4) Brompton Hire is sending out bikes of special NHS deal via their hire points - you register on the app with NHS e-mail for free use deal & this available where Brompton Hire operates & they have support resources in place (eg Portsmouth, Manchester, Oxford....) One key tip IKEA DIMPA bags are the right size to cover a Brompton and bring it inside to store.
5) Nextbike has agreed free hires with some of the locations (depends on sponsor & support team capacity) - Glasgow, Stirling & ? - Bikes are at Brunel (Uxbridge) & Surrey (Guildford - next to Royal Surrey Hosp)
6) No action yet from Hourbike (various), Jump (Uber), Smoove (Slough) & others do press them locally & DM me any news via (at) BCCletts on twitter - cycling around London (& seriously quaxing) since 1964 -

Riding Bromptons pretty much all the time now ... but 1-speed machines since 1995 and now down to 1 brake hose to front brake (HS33).
62-13 1-speed on 349 tyres, a bit under geared but never mind.
Rear hub is nice - just 3 main parts with double sided cone clutch for drive-brake function. Disengages totally for freewheeling.

"Track pump to your door service" might be handy - SMS offer (clearing house via one phone?) to call at an address - fettle up a bike & hand back to user, making it easier & safer to cycle for those new to this.
