Hi guys.
I need help. I recently changed my gear ratio from 46:16 to 44:17 thinking that it would help me get up the monster hills that are included in my commute, but it hasn't made the slight bit of difference.
I was wondering if I'd notice a difference dropping from 71.68 (current GI) to around 63.18 (46:19) or around 60 (46:20). I know I'll probably end up spinning like a mad man, but I'm not that concerned about top speed as there a lot of lights on my commute as well as those hill wrecking hills.Cheers guys.

I am selling this bike as I'm in desperate need of money.
The bike is in great condition, a few scratches here and there from the usual wear and tear of normal riding.
It's not long had the gearing changed to 44:17. Drop handlebars instead of keirin bars and grips, Charge Spoon saddle, All-City 17t rear sprocket, Gatorskin tyres.
It's a nice bike, it's just a shame that I have to get rid of it.

Hi. I've used the search function before I get flamed.
I was just wondering if I could remove the freewheel from my fixed gear, but could I replace the free wheel on my flipflop hub with another fixed cog so that I have two different sized fixed cogs?
All the other posts were just about removing it, but like I said, I want to replace it with another fixed cog of a different size.Another quick question. What gearing would be good for skidding, leg braking? I'm still running a front brake atm with a 44:16 ratio, but it seems stiff and over powering when I back-pedal, plus I live in a hilly area so I need to gear down as well. Was thinking 44:17 or 44:19.
If you need additional info, I've got a Fuji Feather 2012 with stock transmission parts, just Shimano SDR clipless pedals.
Thanks guys.

Selling my Shimano Road shoes as I don't really use the SPD road pedals anymore. The shoe is in good condition, they will just need some new cleats.
Size 12 UK.
