I´m very much considering getting a pompino, but I´ve managed to confuse myself a bit on the specs. Specifically, I´m not sure what parts to order. Basically, you guys get this stuff alot cheaper than we do down here continental-wise, so I want to order as many parts as possible from on one/planet X.
The drivetrain is what confuses me most. I was thinking of getting the Sugino RD2 messenger chainset, which seems to want to be paired to a 103mm bottom bracket, resulting in a chain line of 45 mm. Now I have a rear wheel I want to use that has a Phil Wood track hub, which apparently (haven´t measured it tbh, this is just what the internet tells me) has a 42 mm chain line. Can anyone confirm this? And if it´s true, how could I get these parts aligned??? Other/better crank/bb combos available from planetx/on one??
Also I would love recommendations on headset, seatpost and some thoughts on the On One Mungo handlebar.
Oh. And I´m planning on sticking the pompetamine (??) disc fork in this baby .. is that a feasible idea? Really want a disc up front. Color me goofy.
thanks for any insights
