There's no such thing as too many bikes!

I'm selling my completely unique, custom made fixed gear bike. From initial concept, design, conversion and final touches, no time was spared to achieve a really unique bombproof design that would last quite a few decades of riding.

Project started with an older MTB CrMo bike that was completely stripped and rebuilt with some custom components. The stem and bar were welded together and the hubs were custom made as well (look at the bottom of the page for details). The bike was finally painted in a two-color combination inspired by Guinness beer.

Condition: The bike has been lightly used for a few years now so there are a few visual marks and scratches from use (no crashes!). It was regularly maintained though so it works perfectly!

Besides hours of time, £300 were invested for the original bike and ca. £400 for the additional modifications and upgrades. So more than £700 excluding all the manual work.

Custom hubs:

The hubs are made of less parts than usual, there is no spacer between axle and bearing, it is only possible because axle is machined too.
That gives space for bigger and stronger sealed bearings. MTB frames have wider rear hub clearance than roadies and instead of using spacers as with commercial product I extended the hub body - this extremely wide hub holds the rim firmly in place and keeps it true.

Some weight could be shaved of by making walls thinner in some places but I have chosen cleaner looks and some extra strength. The flange height is above normal for lower forces on spoke holes etc. but not a typical high flange for weight sake, it would be an overkill.

Final result is roughly half a kilo of bombproof awesomeness.

For sale is my Giant TCR 0 road bike, small size.

Frame is a 2011 model, it was built up in late 2012 and used over the winter indoors on the trainer and in the summer for only three rides (it was my secondary bike). It gathers dust in the garage since August.

Most of the components have been replaced with higher-end / better performing ones.
It has just been completely serviced, cleaned and degreased, all cables and cable housings have been replaced, there’s new Easton bar tape etc.
