Continuing the base layer debate from above, i still have an unworn PT short sleeve base layer that I'm debating over returning.
I got it at 20% off, but still, is a normal synthetic baselayer worth £40? To those that have one, are they worth the dosh?
I have two PT baselayers & wear one of them on all rides on warmer days
When it's cooler I wear my Brynje merino mesh.
Not sure it's £40 worth...but it is a nice bit of kit and gets used a lot. -
Hi peeps.
I have a 20% discount code that expires midnight Thursday.
I filled in the questionnaire but have no requirement to buy more NBP by then.Dibs, PM whatevs, I need no recompense so any forum donation would be cool.

I had a look at the gloves, they look nice but they don't have the loops to pull them off easily, which is a feature that I really like.
Agreed - I bought some and they are a pain to get off
I think their sizing is out too, measured my hand twice and ended up with very snug gloves, would probably have been better with next size up -

A lovely Alan carbonio just sold on ebay for £411
Wanted it but was collection only & too far awayhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alan-Record-Carbonio-Road-Bike-/261456374698
Yours is a lovely bike, but may be a little over priced?
Too big for me though :o( -

So has anyone tried out the merino mesh base layers yet? Do they run hot, too hot for European summer?
Brynje merino mesh base layers are a little cheaper

I would recommend either the rain jacket or classic wind jacket, recommend the latter as it fit quite small in a jersey pocket.
Where are you that it's always cold and wet?
I'm in Gloucestershire...obviously the cold/wet was in Jan/Feb...hence me looking for something more lightweight & un-sweaty now.
I've got the wind jacket...which is great for chucking in the pocket "just in case", but I was wanting a jacket to wear when it's already raining...so fully taped seams etc
If you'd like more detailed pics or any more information then please ask.
