Any advice on this gratefully received...have just bought a double chainset but it's not a compact (had a compact til now). I am fine on the hills generally but just wondering if I will notice the difference much and if so whether I should opt for a different cassette from the usual 12-25 - say 12-27/28?? Chain reaction have a selection (link attached) and I am being offered one on this forum. The kit on the bike is pretty much 105 throughout.
Thanks alot

Hi all
I am having a new frame built and proposing to make up the groupset with swapping some kit from my existing bike (forme vitesse 2011) and some new/used stuff. So, if anyone has it I am after a shimano (175) crankset and BB and a cassette. New or lightly used preferably. Will run a 10 speed compact double (preferably) and most of the other kit on there is 105 but I am not bothered if it's all 105 and would look at higher or lower level shimano assuming compatible. Alternatively I would look at purchasing a whole groupset if price ok and then mix and match so that I can then sell the forme as a whole bike as opposed to a frame and forks only.
Thanks - and HNY to all.
Neal
