Hello all,
I urgently call on assistance from anyone who can let me know where I can get hold of a single speed rear wheel in london that will fit a specialized langster.
I live in York but I travel down to London tomorrow AM and I have damaged my rear wheel and unable to sort it up here in time.
I am riding in the London2Paris24 on Saturday starting at Bkackheath and anyone with any local knowledge of a supplier on that area would be a life saver as no one in this neck of the woods seems to stock track wheels.
If anyone can help that would be great.
Cheers
Yorkie -
Thank you for the wise words. I love riding in all weather and particularly like rain! I know that us rediculous but that's me !
Almac68, where are you as I love getting into the dales. Unfortunately I have no geared bike at the mo as my trusty ribble frame is knackered and I am yet to replace it! I am leaning towards a steel replacement but not decided yet -
Cheers for that!
I am doing the london2paris24. Approx 285 miles! I do yoga already but it's the gearing I am not sure about! The route elevation is released next year but I am wondering also if anyone has ridden to Paris and what the crack is with hills etc! I have read the odd report from riders who have said there is the odd hill but a hill to one rider is not a hill to another if you see what I mean.

Hello,
I have registered to ride the Paris2london24 in 2013 and intend to do it on a single speed!
I would appreciate advice or information from anyone on here who has completed 200 miles up in under 24 hours ! For instance what they wish they had or had not done if you see what I mean!
I am 46 and ride regularly on a 48x16 ratio. York is flat but surrounding area to north is hilly so I am relatively fit but now beginning to wonder if I have bitten off more than I can chew!
Thanks in advance for replies -

Interesting replies! Someone from Bradford calling Leeds Poncy yet someone from the South calling Leeds a shithole!
Personally I dont really get people slagging off other persons cities or Towns. Find it a bit rediculous. Me being born in Leeds and now living in York ( I suppose York is a shithole as well). I got marrried in London. Cant argue with one thing though, certain parts of Yorkshire make for some pretty nice cycling days out. I guess if you dont like the area you wont be coming as like some of you have said its either a shithole or too poncy.
Watch it on the Box! -
Fucking northern monkeys! Blimey. It must be the posh bit of Leeds! Borderline Bradford...! I assume the posters of these replies have not been to Leeds then! I am from Leeds and its far worse than than you think. We still wear cloth caps and most of us have whippets which we feed on human flesh. that is when we are not down pit or drinking Tetley Bitter!

Cheers folks for the suggestions. I get into kings cross so will probably give cycle surgery and/ or condor cycles a go.
