I've found the commuter jeans to be pretty decent tbh. They're super comfy, stretchy, hang low, slim fit and I don't fall over trying to get on a bike like I do with stiff raw selvedge. Utterly bizarre that he describes them as "stiff, crinkly" when they're anything but.
I see he's "gently mocking levis" for going for "that demographic."
I think it would be easier to gently mock his pish article but there you go.
Agree as the jeans are really soft... been wearing mine since last summer... all good so far.

I might grab a Winter Collar. It'll go so well with my CBNC stuff.
Merino is so snuggly.
I've been using one for the last month and they work really really well... I couldn't think of riding another winter without one... I think they're worth the money.

This may be a stupid idea, but before I go and waste some money testing it out I thought I'd ask.
As someone that suffers badly with cold hands and quite severe Reynauld's, would I start to benefit from giving my hands a good rubbing with winter embrocation before heading out on the bike? Would it heat my hands, improve circulation or just do nothing? I appreaciate that it may be a bit weird and slimy, but that may be a price worth paying.
Just wondering if you ever gave it a try... I've thought about it too!
Sold... 10th January, 2013.
