Ah yes, that's nice. I like those setters who are willing to bend the Ximenean rules. Guardian ones seem to do this from time to time but can't think of an example right now.
Quite enjoyed this from Saturday's Guardian. Got the last few letters, then the definition, then worked out the rest of the wordplay:
Clownish crack, then some dialogue with question from Manuel (12) -

If you’re after tapes, I have around a hundred or so. Almost certainly filled with some Irish folk recorded off RTÉ by my dad about 20 years ago. Happy to send a couple your way for few quid to cover postage.
I’ve also restored similar analogue devices, VCRs and reel-to-reel, so not quite as fiddly as cassette but I might be able to answer questions if you do open it up to fix.

I can recommend today’s Guardian prize cryptic as a pretty accessible one. https://www.theguardian.com/crosswords/prize/29536

If you’re on an iPhone, Railboard is pleasingly efficient: https://www.railboard.com/

If it's the KDP uploading process you're testing, from memory I think the book's internals can be done with a .docx file, so maybe just fill the body with placeholder text. You could then upload with a mock-up cover image, check it and then remove from publication. From memory it's a pretty quick process to remove it. I highly doubt there's a real person checking contents, so a book filled with nonsense is unlikely to be flagged in the way existing literature might be.

With my front rack I use a removable section of cable with bullet plugs at either end. Take it out, reconnect and cable is now a rack length shorter.
For rear I have similar points to break it near the fork crown, but that was mostly due to internal routing meaning I had to use thin wires inside and needed to join them where they emerge.
So you could make a break/join point nice and neat for no rack and add the cable back in when required.

I think this is a quick pivot to Charli xcx supporting her, declaring this to be KH's brat summer. I did not spot it and had to be told, but I am so far from their target demographic.

Regular joycon Switch controllers don't work well as they're individual devices with individual bluetooth connections, so you're stuck with using one at a time. At least, that's what I found trying to use them for an emulator. I imagine official Switch Pro Controllers work, but I bought an 8bitDo as the remapping seemed flexible and they come in various styles.
