I'm 6'4 and have a Brompton (s type!) for my commute - I wouldn't want anything else on the train tbh, as nothing else (I've seen) folds up as neatly on the luggage rack. Although if you have the telescopic post it will protrude onto the luggage shelf above, meaning you cant push all the way in (but this has never caused any real problem)
As for specifying the post on purchase, I brought mine through Condor and they let me tweak the spec for a longer post and a bigger chainring as part of the purchase (although I later realised the extended post wasn't long enough, so then brought a telescopic separately)

A question for the hive mind....
I've got an interesting DeMayo frame I'm building up with modern bits.
I have a matching MAX fork, and the steerer needs lengthening either way and I'm torn between going down threadless ahead OR threaded quill stem...I know quill stems just generally just look better, however with a slightly sloping top tube will this look daft? and should I stick with an ahead stem?
Any thoughts/examples welcome!
Excuse the terrible photo -

I had a cheap train ticket booked to do the. Up and down like a yo-yo just outside Exeter next weekend.
I quite spectacularly did my back in last month, and am only just back on the bike, so going to skip this one.
If anybody would like a FREE return train ticket?
it'd be going to waste otherwise.
The only catch is I booked with a 26-30 railcard...22nd Paddington > Exeter 17.30
23rd Exeter > Paddington 20:49
