Hi there, you staying in hotel or AirBnb? Any food criteria to be considered?
Area that i would recommend to stay would be in Avenida da Liberdade area, expensive but super central.
5 de Outubro, Avenidas Novas, Roma and Alvalade also nice areas to look for hotels or accommodation.
Best Ibis (cheap hotel chain, comparable to Travel Lodge) https://www.google.pt/maps/place/Hotel+ibis+Lisboa+Liberdade/@38.720182,-9.150316,15z/data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x0:0x5a04baf4b8adde57?sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjwlqPyw6PSAhVH6xoKHZbKCbAQ_BII6gEwHg
is dead smack in central Lisbon, but in one of the nicest/expensive/quietest neighborhoods ever.
Walks there a lot to do, you can walk a lot nearby the river side and get lost there quite easily. Prepare yourself to climb and descend quite a lot... LIsbon is know as the 7 Hills city for a reason.
Places to eat there's a ton and nowadays we're refurbishing the old markets to be something more similar with the Spitafields market, a mix of food and traditional stalls and shops. Mercado da Ribeira has a lot of restaurants inside with everything at a reasonable price.
Drop me an PM if you want more info and if you want to meet up while you here -
You're in my neck of the woods. you got lucky with the weather, sunshine but cold. You could do also a similar ride but on a road bike. Going from the train station to the Pena Castle, and then descending to Malveira, always on the coast line.
If you can, go ride in Arrabida in the South part of Lisbon. Way tougher than Sintra, not as beautiful but lovely as well -

We had a cat with that exact attitude but with a twist, he would only have those tantrums with me and not with my wife.
Sadly we couldn't keep him, because he also became extremely aggressive towards our other two cats. He was 3 years old and was massively ignored by the previous owner.
Nowadays he is an amazing cat and live an happy life with a female owner... -

I do agree with your view, but booth my cats have been rescued at age 3 at 4, after living outdoor for that period.
They adapted just fine to the flat life, with all the toys, food and hiding spots they can wish until the day they die. I cannot imagine my life without them, and allowing them to go outside and probably never coming back or coming back with massive injuries is something that haunts me.
Call me a jerk, stupid or just plain moronic, but the happiness that we have as a family is something i want to cherish for many years. -
still a couple of things to figure out yet. Saddle it's on testing mode nowadays, don't have a strong opinion yet but will give it another month https://postimg.org/image/7e4dbjeib/ -
Hi there, i would recommend that you stay in Malasana area, nearby Alonso Martinez/Tribunal tube station. Very nice area with plenty of restaurants and nightlife. Extremely safe to walk at night time and you're 10 minutes walk from chueca and Fuencarral. Very central with a nice market, plaza Santa Barbara has too many restaurants and bars to fully recommend just one.

Bought a second hand Velo Orange Pass Hunter. Previous owner says that the frame accommodate 38C tyres. So with this in mind and the plan to the PH is to make it a fast tourer which tyre would you guys recommend (apart from Compass ones, impossible to get them in Portugal)? Slightly inclined to the Nano's or the Kojack's, any other option? I had the gravel kings in 26C and liked them also.

Hi there, i can´t give you full info regarding the Spanish coast but regarding the Portuguese coast i can give you a few pointers.
Prepare yourself for a really hot summer. Temperatures in the south are getting warmer by the day, now floating between 28 Celsius and 18 Celsius (http://www.windguru.cz/pt/index.php?sc=48973&sty=m_spot).
Sun is harsh in this area, you will get burned multiple times. Wild camping is ok in Portugal, if you avoid the beach (the more crowded ones). The GNR (police, military ones) are extremely annoying regarding wild camping, so you would be better if you avoid the beach.
You planning on taking the national street? N125 is renowned for being dangerous and having an high death toll. You can avoid it by going almost parallel to the train tracks, not the most scenic route but the most safe IMO. It´s about 60 km to Spain, but a difficult path. I would rather recommend doing the western part of Algarve and then going to Lisbon through the Coastline. A lot more relaxing and with a few climbs and a lot of places to wild camp. Ultraromance did that last year and you can double check in is instagram feed. Food wise go to the supermarket, prices in the Algarve in this period are extremely expensive.
Hope this help, i will try to add more info afterwards.
Quite a few. You can ride up to Sintra Castle and coming down from the other side of Cascais. Monsanto is also nice.
