Hi folks
Years since I've been here but wondering if this is any use to anyone.
Old European steel "ladies" frame, not too heavy so maybe decent enough tubing, some nice detail on lugs etc. Has been outside for a couple years and I doubt any of the attached period (Sachs, Weimann) or modern (gripshift) components would work without lots of TLC and or replacement. So not sure if this is fit for much tbh. Feels a total shame to send to the tip though..
Free to anyone who can collect soon from Mile end

The problem for me is that the expenditure is just so high as a proportion of revenue... presumably a huge charity like oxfam or red cross doesn't need to pay its board that much more but will have much higher revenues and hence % spent on charitable work.
I hate small charities that seem more like a way to make someone feel better or show off (i.e. single cause single university groups so middle class kids can think they saved africa, or the "Insert Celebrity Here Foundation").

That said, in the cases where there is CCTV or other evidence that a driver deliberately uses a car as a weapon, I feel intention to seriously injure (due to the nature of the weapon) would be fairly well proven and the cps etc could apply a more aggressive approach. "Accident" or recklessness is not treated as an email excuse when you let your knife go into someone and I think a vehicle should be treated no differently.
Even when drivers are merely being aggressive and then "accidentally" collide - their actions are at least an assault in law and hence a manslaughter charge could stick.

Run green lights if you're not a paramedic/medical doctor
"green light from a warning beacon fitted to a vehicle used by a medical practitioner registered by the General Medical Council (whether with full, provisional or limited registration);"
Reckon this applies to bikes?
Yes officer, I did RLJ doing my sick trackstand, but check out my green light. Medical emergency bro

OK, so I'll confess I skimmed a couple of pages that had far too much code and arguing about ideal kerning for my liking...
I follow the logic on line length and if the evidence suggests this is ideal, then fine, but the feeling and also appearance of wasted space is a turn off. If the conversation itself should be this narrow, is there anything that could fill up the space (most obviously to the right where I see a lovely grey rectangle)? I can't think of anything good right now, but at the moment it does look a little like a website someone made in Word and then realised A4 isn't the same aspect ratio as most screens.
Inb4 "turn it portrait". No-one does that. Plus this is a laptop.
