Reynolds 731 Frame and 531 Fork, belonged to the Hardisty Cycles Team in the early 1990's.

(I don't know why 'beauty fragrances' comes up in the URL!!)
The rest of the components (Dura Ace and Campagnolo) are up for sale too) -

I received quite a bit of interest from people interested in buying/restoring this bike when I put this post up here earlier this year... I held on to it with the intention of doing something with it - but I haven't - and so, it would be much better in the hands of somebody who will bring it back to life...
Now on Ebay:Don't advertise links to your ebay stuff on LFGSS, see rules<<<

Rather than create a new post, I thought I'd tag on to this one...
I have a pair of Mavix CXP30's on Dura-Ace hubs (Dura Ace skewers too), but I want to put disc brakes on them to use on a CX bike.
a) What do I need to do?
b) Is this a stupid idea?Another note - The wheels are from my dad's old racer ( http://www.cyclechat.net/threads/vintage-road-bike-find.87628/ ). I'm going to put the frameset and components up for sale soon. What should I sell them for? (I am crap with bikes, and have no idea of the value!)

I've just been handed a Raleigh Medale that has been converted to a single speed.
I need to find a new seat post for it, but I am not sure what size I would need to buy... Can anyone advise what size I should buy?
This may help determine which model it is: It features a sticker '1977 1978 Tour de France Winners / Team T.I Raleigh / UCI World Road Champion 1978' on it.
Many Thanks!

Thanks for the information everyone...
It's really interesting to see that link. That's my bike all right!
Popped it in to a local bike shop to see if they could remove the stuck seat post, who passed it on to some welder who worked next door.. I am presuming it is he who took the photographs of the bike in search of help.
We never could get the post unstuck, which is probably why I lost faith in restoring it.
Looking at those pics now, I wish I never took it to pieces! It's nice to see the comments about the bike as I was under the impression that such a bike would be worthless now!

I've got a Reynolds 731 frame with 531 fork, and Dura-Ace, Campagnolo, Mavic components.
I was planning to strip it all down and convert it in to a Fixie back in December. I started, but then my business took-off and my free time was reduced to 0.
Now I'm looking to sell it. But, judging by the photos, do you think any one would buy it? (I'm a total newbie, so I have no idea!)

The frame was my dad's. He bought it from one of the Hardisty team riders and paid big bucks for it back in about '95-'96. From memory, I'm sure it was around the £2K mark!
It hadn't been used for a decade until I picked it up last year, and in all honesty - I wish I hadn't started to dismantle it!!

Just spotted this and fell in love with it. Is it worth the money, factoring in shipping to the UK too?

Can anyone advise which size bottom bracket I need to install on my Pompino?
The single speed crank will be an old 52T Dura-Ace.
102 or 111? I am guessing 102.http://www.wiggle.co.uk/token-tk867-iso-square-cromo-axle-bottom-bracket/

Just noticed a post from 1 week ago from Scunny looking for a Large Pompino.

I own a On One 456 mtb. I love it, and so am looking to stick with On One for my first fixie, and get a Pompino.
This will be the first bike I have built up, and I am looking at components and wondering whether or not they will all work together! For example, if I buy X bottom bracket will it fit with Y crank? Will certain stems fit the frame, and the handlebar etc.
Can anyone offer some advice, or provide a list of the components they have used on their own Pompinos, and/or provice a link / photo?
Cheers!
