I have a fairly old shimano 600 groupset that i got off of a car boot bike for a steal recently, cleaned all the bits up and they look in great condition

But assuming its a full 105 groupset like the Madone, I'd say either would be more useful than an equivalent TT bike

Have found a CAAD 10 105 for £950 at a local bike shop that accepts C2W, so for the money i'd say thats pretty good, no?

12 miles of the journey is on a long straight A road so something i can hack at high speed the whole way without giving my back any grief. I'd also be planning on using it for training on evenings/weekends so?
