I had a similar issue with my eTap 11 speed RD a short time ago @TTM (suddenly died completely).
I picked a VGC one off eBay for £230. They are out there for semi-reasonable prices, but it’s definitely a matter of timing.

I wonder about the debate and how that will or won’t impact peoples’ voting.
My impression is that Trump-ites would never vote Democrat anyway, but there must be SOME on the fence (the whole “voting a literal criminal in for president” thing ‘n’ all).
I can imagine Trump being taken apart by a younger woman as something he’ll handle poorly ( he will inevitably revert to shouting over her, blasting through some horrendous hyperbole, etc.).
He is so easily rattled that I hope Harris can seize on that and that it makes some kind of a difference.

Typical signs of whimpering out of the final having “tried valiantly and failed against the best team in the tournament.”
So many of this 11 haven’t turned up for England, so here’s hoping for them to do so (or for some timely subs).
I’d be pretty pissed off if I was one of those tied for the Golden Boot with Harry Kane (not just on tonight’s showing).

The BBC absolutely desperate to spin a negative story for Labour.
Disgustingly partisan at times.
I’ve been watching this live as it happened on iPlayer (from Japan) and the attempts at digs pretty consistently at the incoming party have been diabolical.
Jess Phillips was a bit thorny on that right now and rightly so.
The country is severely divided, hence the split voting across the board to smaller parties increasing, but such a massive majority can’t be downplayed for the sake of manufactured drama.

Quick PSA.
I reached out to Exposure about the Boost DB + Boost-R Reakt pack as they have both lights individually, but not the set.
When I asked about when the pack will be stocked, I was told:
“We have switched our BoostR ReAKT across to USB-C but not yet the Boost front light, so until this has happened, we won’t have the packs available I’m afraid. It will likely be a month or so before the packs are built and in stock.”
Just in case anyone else is wondering the same.

Couple of shots from a solo #solsticecentury ride today.
Hellish headwinds, but a good time nonetheless.

For some reason I didn’t get a notification, so have only just seen this (apologies).
In short, yes! I ended up going against everything I said about not caring about getting it sub-6kg…
A bunch of Darimo parts and some Extralite tubular wheels with Sapim Super spokes later, and it got down to 5.5kg. However, it also has a “daily ride” set of CK R45 laced to Farsports 45mm deep wheels that puts it at 6.1kg.
I should say that this doesn’t get as much use I’d like because: (i) work and family life is mad busy; and, in the meantime (ii) I ended up buying an S Works SL7. The RD died on the SL7 though, so I’ve been lucky enough to get reacquainted of late.
In terms of the photos:
- The muddy ones are from a race called Gran Fondo Myoko - 150km race, but 20km on gravel. 28s did the trick, just about.
- The Four Boroughs jersey shot is from central Tokyo, close to my team mate’s shop (also my mechanic).
- The Tekkerz jersey shot with Mount Fuji in the background is from a 270km, 7,000hm ride (aptly named Project 7,000).
- The one with skinnier wheels is in “ultralight mode.”
- The one with tan walls is from a recent cross-Japan ride and is how the bike currently stands.
Separately, I’m actually now considering selling the Festka given that my SL7 is now definitely all the bike I need (however much this is the nicer bike to ride!).

Thanks for pointing that out @Mukashi , it is indeed Japan @kjlem .
The photos are from a couple of rides close to Yokohama (where I’m based) and a couple of rides out in Chiba (the prefecture over the bay from Tokyo).
Got out for a New Year’s Day 100km today to stretch the legs and get the year off to a good start.
More views of Mount Fuji, lots of traditions and food with the in-laws (osechiryouri (boxes of New Year’s food) and fugu (puffer fish) sashimi & hot pot), and a stop at Dark Arts Coffee for a brew and vegan hot dog (they have a store here that was on the route).
Not sure if on topic - apologies if not!

For what it’s worth, I’m waiting for new SRAM Red AXS as we speak and the older groupset will likely be sold as a set.
The reason being that these parts are getting rarer and rarer (not unlike Red 22, which is still my favourite groupset).
