I use a couple of Chossy music cases (one from ebay, the other from a boot sale) for day to day carrying. I use leather laces to tie them to a rear rack and they work really well. http://www.myfixedgear.net/gringolet-update

Sorry, it may be an age thing, but the ultimate riding soundtrack for me is John Playford's English country dances. No, not Morris tunes but genuinely rhythmical, fast up-beat catchy stuff that somehow manages to keep you relaxed, focussed, in a good head space and not too intruded upon. I also sing along to Sacred Harp. Stones are good too! I generally like a shuffle so I'm constantly surprised. (Keeps me awake on rides home from Norwich to Cromer!)

Hello,
Been riding fixed in North Norfolk for a year now ( thanks to St Sheldon Brown exhorting me to try one for winter riding! Don't ride anything else now ). Just done a century and booked for 200k audax in September. Desperate to do 500k in 24 hrs next year while I still can ( I'm 60 ). Any training tips?
Been using them for three months now. I used a grp rod ( I make kites too!) fitted internally in the case to anchor the laces and a hole punch to get nice neat unfrayable holes. I also made the saddle bag which has been really successful, especially with Prufide slapped on!
