Hello all,

So I am looking to make some space in my bedroom as it's too cluttered and I dug these out and am looking to sell them.

Firstly, a Mavic MA2 rear wheel with freewheel cog. It has been used and has a few scratches and it has some dirt on it but I will clean it up before sale.

Secondly and finally we have the front wheel that originally came with my Fuji Classic Track bike. It's very basic but it is in pretty good condition as it was never used much.

I'm open to offers but if I get no interest I'll give them away as freebies.

Sounds like your cleats are worn, particularly if you are find brass filings coming of your cleats. Take off the cleats and give them a good clean, as well as the underside of your shoe, re-fit and test ride. If it still happens then consider replacing the cleat/s IMO.

Are you sure it's coming form the cleat and not the pedal or even the crank?

I don't think there's a trend for brake drop, a lots of (actual) track bike tend to have a short reach brakes rather than the other way round.

Well i suppose that's a possibility, i can't say i have taken a keen interest in what drop people have on their brakes, it was merely an observation from my past experiences. Surely, short reach brakes on certain frames would mean brakes hitting tyres rather than brake surface?

Or maybe not :p

I have a spare fixed/fixed rear wheel you can have if you can collect it. Its nothing special but it works and its round. Not sure if that's what you are after...

I should add that I'm in London, not sure where you are.

Make sure if you get new brakes they fit the drop on a track bike as it's usually bigger than other bikes, otherwise the brake won't hit the brake surface. Lots of fixed gear riders get a brake with 57mm drop (front brake).

I just watched Incendies, about a set of twins who are instructed by their mother in her will to find their brother and father who they did not know existed. They have to travel to Lebanon to find out the truth and discover their mothers secret and brutal past. The finale is a horrible twist of fate. I really enjoyed it (especially as my French and Arabic are improving!). Now I'm going to watch Snowtown, about the serial killer John Hunting. Cheerful night.

One of my favourite things to do when bored is go on to YouTube and watch the many full films they have on there, such as judge dredd, red heat or enemy of the state with denzel washngton. It's a corner of YouTube not many people know about.

I've yet to come across a service that let's you download a film to an android tablet. As you say its all rentals.

I guess there is a place for these after all, although I will probably never use one, if these aren't widespread enough then the chance of you running into one when you get a flat is low. But it does sound like a good idea.

What exactly is the point of this?, i think i'm missing it. Am i to assume people go cycling with flats and cycle to this street pump to pump up their tyres? Or is it in case you get a puncture, repair the puncture only to find out you forgot your pump (which i think is quite unlikely if you didn't forget to bring a spare inner tube or puncture kit)

The rim pringled which caused spokes to pierce both inner tube and the tyre in some places, i will admit i nearly sh*t myself when it went bang, the hub started making some grinding noises following this event :p Only good for the bin ......... or frame it.
