Hello
Anyone got a black or dark brown leather saddle, suitable for touring/commuting - in an upright-ish stance?
Something like a b17 or flyer or spa (or any brand) , sprung, or not sprung. Just damn comfortable and handsome to look at. Only needs to be in usable condition, don't mind scrapes and scratches.
Cheers

Hi All,
I'm looking for forks for my Peugeot Aravis,
531 or better/lighter
Preff in Chrome (but not entirely essential)
185-200 steerer
1" Threaded (British)
Only really want to spend 20-45I'd just managed to refit my bike with some new forks and then had a very minor accident which caused the forks to bend... Need to get back on the road
Cheers

Bump
I think this has become relevant again. Having trouble sourcing 105 headset (or similar Shimano AT A DECENT PRICE) and ebay finds are few and far between.
So anyone know a good source to find 105 headsets?
Or anyone recommend affordable alternatives? (heard Tange Levin or Tange Falcon are alright - anyone got any experience of them?)
Cheers

Raleigh Dyna-Tech 725Ti Road Bike
Hello,
Far as I have discovered it was manufactured in 93/94 by Raleigh Special Products Division. There’s not a great deal of information pertaining to this specific model but many links to product catalogues from around that time with very similar bikes can be found on Retro Bike. That said I’ve found quite a lot of info – spending untold hours trawling through the web.
http://imageshack.us/a/img855/675/jre9.jpg
Anyhow the specifications are as follows -
FRAME - Raleigh Special Products Division titanium tubes (3 main tubes) with Reynolds 2060 (equivalent to Reynolds 653) forks and rear triangle
Shimano 105 Groupset
8-speed cassette on rear 28t-12t
Shimano 105 STI levers
ITM Italmanubri quill stem
ITM Italmanubri S Italia Pro handlebars
Original Dynatech Seatpost (as well as longer Post Moderne seatpost)
Fizik Vitesse CP saddle
Fulcrum Racing 5 clincher Shimano wheels
Ultremo DD Tyres (with minimal wear)Measurements -
58cm seat tube c-t. 56cm top tube c-cThis bike is in very good condition - an added bonus is that titanium never rusts. There are very few marks and has been looked after well. Comparatively speaking this is considerably lighter than my Peugeot with 531pro frame and similar components. It has been serviced recently.
The Fulcrum 5 wheels were 200 quid new with Schwalbe Ultremo DD tyres which were 60 a set.
£350 (£375 with postage) In Brockley, London.
Think it’s a fair price. (open to reasonable offers) Don’t want to split (though if someone else bought it and did so I reckon they’d make a few extra bucks)
Will include some toe-clip type pedals.
ONLY SELLING DUE TO RENT NEEDING TO BE PAID IMMINENTLY

H Marxist_Vulcan - sorry for some reason your message wasn't on my stupid tablet when I was replying to Mattias the other day...?...
UNfortunately I need a threaded steerer. Of the two forks I mentioned previously I'd probs go for the 1st one, which is lighter and cheaper. I just have a lack of funds.Last try to see if anyone knows where I could get something cheaper that fits my specs?
(even a link to an online shop or a real shop in London)
Cheers -
Hey Mattias...
Sound good (cept the paint) , but I'm quite heavy and feel somewhat paranoid about the amount of weight stress on the crown with straight forks. Which is a shame because they'd look beautiful on my bike - assuming the nail polish remover would do the job.
Perhaps Barraclough would be interested?
Anyone else? Also opinions on the price of the one's I originally mentioned would be appreciated as they're pretty much perfect - but I'm pretty much out of money so I couldn't justify it if I wasn't getting a good deal.
If anyone could point me/us (there seems to be quite high demand for this or similar) in the right direction I'd be well chuffed
Cheers

I am need exactly the same thing...
Someone has offered me the following, but am I right in thinking that the price is too high? Although 572g for steel forks is very light!
1: Italian, full-chrome steel, 572g, Shimano drop-outs,180mm threaded steerer tube: £85
2: Columbus Genius, full-chrome steel, 660g, 182mm threaded steerer tube: £105Shipping for one forks is £12.
I've seen pictures and they're in perfect condition.
I really need forks!

Hello
I have wheelset of Mavic MA40 on 105 hubs.
The rear rim has cracked over eyelets in a couple of places. But the hub is still good.
The front wheel is well used. But still good.
No cassete.
Have them for free/bring me a beer (if you pass a shop)
