I've got a similar allen key type deal on a fox fork (36 factory with the ridiculously sized thru axel) and it's shit , been through 2 already where it's rounded out with the soft alu that it's been made in
Some great tips in here for the next time but what can I do to prevent it happening again in reality?
Glad you managed to get it fixed @Nerv!

Cracked up at this , took my bike in to balfes at very last minute notice recently for the first time and they helped me a ton then refused to give me a bill as they couldn't fix the issue completely - I really can't emphasise how good the experience was (much better than my LBS , fully worth the 30 minute train ride)
If Wesley is on here thanks again ! I went for the Hope brakes in the end your advice is sound , they're blissful to ride

Unfortunately due to a time waster she's back up for sale - I've dropped the price massively because I'd like it gone before I travel
So this has been hanging on the wall for at least 5 years in my flat (never been ridden or built since purchase) , it's beautiful and I'd love to build it up but simply can't justify a carbon frame for myself given that I've snapped 2 already I can't bear to do it to this one and I know I will if I ride it so I'd like it to go to a better home ! ( I have ridden one of these but not mine on the street and it was frankly blissful , it was comfortable and yet more than sufficiently stiff)
I'm 5' 5" ~ and it's a good fit for me but it would be a nice frame size for someone a little taller even - it's at the limit of being slightly big for me
it has two pairs of forks with it , one of them is cut very short and had a ultra low stack headset on it however it was never built past frame and forks and I will also include a pair of identical forks that I brought a while back as I knew the low stack headset wasn't the best idea however it never got changed over and as such there is two forks for the lucky new owner
The seatpost is of course included ( and never ridden or inserted into the frame) it's a matte black carbon seatpost that came with and matches the frame
(a headset is included if you'd like however it isn't new and has been lightly used but it is a tapered headset that will fit this frame , otherwise they're cheap and still available from planet x)
the frameset is in perfect condition aside from a 1cm hairline scratch on the seatpost and a couple of tiny marks underneath the bottom bracket but both of these you will never see without knowing they are there (I will try and get a photo of these later on but they won't show up sufficiently on my phones camera to see them they're that small)
I've included a couple of photos of the frame and one (not mine) of someone elses built up so you can get a idea how they look built up as the colour scheme is rare and isn't not something I've ever seen done before
I'm looking for £500 for the frame , 2 forks and headset however I will be listing up a bunch of things later including wheels and omniums , if I can shift a crankset or some wheels alongside the frame I'd be open to reasonable offers /doing a deal on somethings
Not looking to post ideally but could do so if absolutely needed - the frame is in TW12 Hampton at the moment

I think you might be hard pressed to find a 2nd hand pair on here in your size , I've never seen any come up for sale but they're in stock here in the uk mate

Here's the things that are still available !
unbranded 27.2mm seatpost in black used £10
richey comp compact drop bars £5 or free with anything else in the sale over £50/ or a forum donation - pretty well worn and I've fallen on both sides of them untaped , you can see the scratches in the second photo of them better
if I'm honest I don't know why I have them or what they were for when I had a use for them but anyway not much to say on these , could do with a clean but perfectly functional and will do someone proud - especially for the price
I have a easton stem for sale , not much to say about it , used but still good condition - lets call it a fiver £5
2x deda zero stems , £10 each , a little corrosion on the screws but otherwise great condition
some shimano spds , work well but I just don't ride spds anymore at all so they're here £10
old frame in green , medium size for someone 5' 3" to 5' 8" ideally , super old and a little neglected but used to be my pub runner and did the job damn well , I really had a great time riding this frame around for a few years , will become a great cheap run around for some lucky buyer ! it's coming with the bars , brake , forks , saddle ,pedals and chain
I will ask £50 for this , I think it could be finished very easily with parts from this sale or elsewhere for about £30-40 and basta you'd have a good pub runner for nothing at allmach 1 omega wheels £30 for the pair
selle italia Qbik saddle £20
dia comp brake and lever £10
shimano dura ace 16th cog new bnib £10
2x dida pista bars ( track or street they won't take brake hoods ) one pair is used lightly for less than 200km as I found out I don't like at all drops and my back won't do it hence running risers on all of my bikes , the other pair is new in plastic £25 for the new pairs £15 for the lightly used
Cinelli stem and risers , pretty ratty but functional and were great to use but I have no use anymore £15 for the combo

Thanks , I would of loved to have kept it but it just isn't needed right now , I have nightmares of drunken skids , falling off and the inevitable cracks every time it's in my hands , frankly it's incredibly light
Looks like it's off to grace chicago with it's presence I just hope he doesn't ride it in the winter

Fuck it why not , I'm going to get a earful next week about the space in the shed with a new bike or not
Let's do it
Will DM you my number and can grab it after work tomorrow if that is ok for you
