Personally I take issue with the fact that you seem to have something against people with "too much disposable income". Which is a pretty odd gripe on a forum full of people riding overspec'd fetish bikes predominantly living in one of the most expensive cities in the world.
On the contrary, I earned some good commission from the disposable income, paid my way through university. As for the forum, dam good chance I sold a few bikes to some of the cunts on here.

If you don't like that stem you're a bit fucked aren't you.
Nice effort though, especially with the seatpost. However, I don't care if it shifts gears by means of a tiny particle accelerator operated by the mice from Bagpuss, why the fuck does that shimano groupset have to look so unbelievably fucking ugly?
Consumer demand apparently.

Really?
I've only ever ridden on a couple of carbon bikes (Madone, and TCR) and both of them felt laterally stiff yet vertically compliant.
In all seriousness though they both smash it for ride quality and stiffness compared to my Condor in Deda SAT 14.5 - ie a modern steal,
Surely if anything fixeh's suffer far more from clueless cunts. How many creates do you see on the road compared to carbon from the main brands?
Both are driven by consumer demand and tbc anything that gets more bikes on the road, in shops and in secondhand classifieds is good in my book.
It just doesn't always work like that in the real world. When you work in a bike shop you sell what you have, drop a few buzz words in and the dopey cunts with too much disposable income lap it up. Some customers know what they want, some take what you give them.

Or, as has been mentioned upthread, those who hurtle to the very front of the lights queue, wait at the very cusp of the junction becasue they're in such a hurry, then can't see when the lights change because they're past the lights so get overtaken by everyone who has seen them change.
Yes, I love those moments.

My opinion .. Consumer demand is now driven by "is it carbon?" so mass production is designed to meet that demand. Therefore I would suggest the relative cost of manufacture for a carbon frame has dropped.
Fixed and single speed off the peg bikes has been driven by consumer demand. Carbon road bikes, are probably more driven by clueless middle age cunts who latch onto marketing spiel and brand image.

See so many of these kind of people right now.
Cycle out into the junction and then stop and wait. No common sense at all. Must be so unnerving for a driver crossing.Normally this doses't bother me at all, but in this example the chap clearly was not familiar with the junctions and the pattern of the lights.
There are many sets of lights in London where by one can go on a red, straight ahead, as it is green for pedestrians on the left of the junction crossing. These could do with separate filters for left and straight ahead.

So, I posted this a couple of days ago but (a) the problem persists and (b) I know slightly more about the issue.
When I try to use skype on my phone (HTC sensation XE, Android 4.0.3) it doesn't work. It doesn't matter if I'm using the 3g network or a strong wifi connection, it also doesn't matter what account I use - neither of mine work. For the past few days every time I try to log on it says "skype has stopped working: would you like to sign in again or exit skype". A few days before that I got a message saying that the SMS rate could not be retrieved even though I could happily send SMS via skype on my computer.
can anyone think of a solution? I have reinstalled skype and am currently installing system updates but as yet no luck. It would be really good to solve this as I'm in Indonesia, my GF is in Peru and for the next 3 months this is likely to be our best, f not only means of communication.
Alternatively does anyone know of any apps that allow me to **send texts over the internet? ** I've got whatsapp but I need it to send to an olschool, non-internetty mobile in Peru? I'm happy to pay if it works.
Mighty-Text, install on android phone, can type away on your PC and send via your phone. Might not be what your after though.
